He's under achieved must Mile's fault. Oh that's right he played two years for Saban.

He's not underacheived. His qb has never completed 300 passes in each year for the last 8 years

Has anyone heard of any plans for the chargers to use any of the LSU WR's or are they basically roster bodies right?
Because I really Josh Reed's as a football player and a person, but I don't think he plays before the C.Davis or D.Byrd if they're enen still on the team.

This might be the dumbest post today on TD. C Davis and D Byrd don't even have 50 catches all together. Josh is a great slot receiver and it's laughable that they would play before him. Josh will probably start at slot. He was the second leader in receptions last year

C. Davis and D. Byrd are way more athletic and have way more upside. But, hey if JR(REED not Russell) beats them out then he should start but I just think the other guys have more to offer with a little playing time.

Does Byrd even end up ever playing for a NFL team?

It'll be tough for him to make it on a team. That injury really happened at a shitty time and really set him back. He may have to play in Canada for a few years and hope to catch the eye of some NFL scouts.

This seems to be a problem for any WR trying to make something happen...
what J Reed did with "The Ro Show" at the helm at LSU was simply amazing to watch...an earlier poster was correct in that he doesn't have blazing top end speed (4.49 at his LSU Pro Day, 4.52ish usually)...but he could sure knew how to get open and always had seperation from defenders
I bet he will become one of P Rivers' fave targets when he sees what he can do in open space and his route running skills

Do you have any idea the whereabouts of Byrd? He was dropped from the Chargers roster some times back.
I don't think he is a threat of even on the same level as a prospect as Reed.
Davis has been injured his entire NFL career. He has yet to prove that he is tough enough for the NFL.

Reed will play and will get 2-3 catches/game IMO. He was a steady receiver in Buffalo, with very little NFL-talent at QB.
I'll be surprised if Byrd is on an NFL roster next year, and Davis has been a bust in the eyes of SD fans.
