Yes. Nola pitches game 1 no matter what. He will pitch this Saturday, then will have plenty of time to be ready for either next Friday or Saturday, as the case may be.
I think who goes in Game 2 and who goes in a potential Game 3 is still flexible. Glenn will pitch this Sunday and should be ready again as early as next Saturday, if Game 2 falls on Saturday. I think Eades performance this week will play into how they do it next week.

We were actually 1 last year....had the 11:00 Friday morning game...and rain screwed with the rest of the weekend.

Less rest
You realize Eades pitched last Friday. He has a normal week's rest.

I'm hoping for a Saturday Start I can watch all of the games starting Saturday will have to miss it if we play friday.
luckily I won't miss (assuming we get out of the regionals) the game that may send us to omaha.

I'm curious if The Cajuns go REAL bold and hold Robichaux until Saturday.
They probably will. It's the only real chance they have to win the regional.

I think if he had more than just a couple of good outings under his belt, this would be a more comfortable choice for the coach.
This is where we miss Russell Reynolds. If he had continued to develop and had a full season of good work, he would have been perfect for the Jackson St. game.

if that is their ace that is a no brainer on their part.
But I don't think anyone in the country (other then stanek and maybe a vandy pitcher) can match up with Nola. I think ULL will have to keep us at 1 or 0 runs saturday to beat us. I don't think that happens at home. Even if this happens through even 9 innings I still think we win.

I rather keep Newman for the if necessary (Which I don't think happens)

i would pitch nola saturday and glenn for 3 or 4 innings sunday. put him on a pitch count

Eades struggles. Mightily with the heat.

THIS.
Their blueprint for winning the regional is to win Game 1 without using him....then beating LSU in Game 2...then praying they have enough good pitching still left Sunday to hold LSU down just once.
If they (or any other team) ends up in the losers bracket, they figure to be toast. They will be using starters #4 and #5 to try to beat LSU on Sunday, which would be almost impossible.

Honestly, my main disagreement with this is probably very different than most. I say no, but not because I doubt him. I honestly believe LSU wins the game. My problem is messing with the reps. LSU will go 3-0 in this regional, and if Newman starts Friday, then either Eades or Glenn misses a start.

Why? If Glenn pitches a full game Sunday, it is no big deal...the earliest he would be needed next week would be Saturday, so he gets a minimum of 5 days off.

because he hasnt had any rest since he has become a starter. eades and nola have, just a thought but i trust dunn and cpm to make the right call

Sure he did. Glenn didn't pitch in the South Carolina series. He went 11 days in between starts.

Gotta get on base to steal a base.

But he hasn't racked up nearly the innings either. He needs the reps. Let the big 3 roll, in whatever order. LSU just beat the #1 team in the nation (vs their #4 starter) without any of our weekend starters. I'm quite sure we can handle ULLLLLLLLLLLL, Sam Houston, or Jackson State vs any of their #4 starters on Monday if need be....

Maybe...but he really hasn't pitched a ton of innings. He has gone 82 innings in 14 starts, which is right at 6 innings per start. And his delivery would seem to me to be one that doesn't tax his body too much. I think he is in good shape
