It’s this part of the quote that isn’t sitting right with people.
Of course everyone wants Boutte to accomplish all of his goals as quickly as possible.
There’s just no reason to make being at LSU sound like some sort of punishment. It’s an odd thing to say on a radio show.

Just got to say, I am excited for Lacy & Bech. What a difference in interviews between Lacy & Boutte.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be three and out. Nfl players, even the best, don’t play past their 30s other than QBs. You have to make your living quickly.
My issue is that instead of saying exactly that, he said
Just a poor choice of words

Yep, tired of the drama already. Next dude up.
I don't expect much out of Boutte this year regardless of where he plays. He will mail it in.

He's just spitting out the same tired line O fed him while he was being recruited. Sums up the culture under O perfectly.

I hate this mentality as much as the next guy. But You whiny little bitches in here need to remember that basketball is one year and gone, and they know that too.
This kid gave us a couple good years before his injury, then the coaching staff and team fell apart. You cannot blame him for worrying about his long term future and what’s happening at LSU.
Take your Purple and Gold glasses off and realize he has a future greater than the next year.
He will play, and he will be good. But don’t blame him for knowing where he will need to be in a year.
Era: he literally gives you goals for his next year. Says the good about the new coaches, and how they’re “actually being taken care of”. And you babies are crying over one line. Bunch of pussies

Kayshon Boutte tells @JordyCulotta he wants to wear No. 7 for @LSUfootball this season.
Wears #7, doesn't finish the season. That sounds about right.

If he doesnt play he will likely go 4-5th round. one big game against ole miss' last place defense wont make you a first rounder.

Lol kick him off the fricking team

That whole interview just screams out me, Me, ME!

Sorry but saying you don't want to be here longer than you have to is total BS from a player to say publicly. I don't give a crap how good he is.

Boutte certainly did not learn this attitude from Ja'Marr Chase.
lol y’all crucified chase when he sat out his last year and said terrace Marshall would be drafted higher because he played

Not Kelly's first Prima Donna. Coach won't be held hostage to Boutte's ego.

NFL scouts take on his quote would be, this dude wants his money, then Fricke it, I be good.

Actions speak louder than words. Let’s see what he does on the field

I was a big Boutte fan.
Prior to that interview.
Strictly from the perspective of Boutte's personal interests, he would have been a LOT better off not doing that interview and revealing his mindset.
His relationship with teammates, fans, the school and maybe a few NFL talent folks, will not be helped by that interview.
Somebody tell Kayshon that NIL value is not solely based on athletic talent.

man, i thought he was an high character guy based off of him not celebrating after 1st downs/tds. A silent leader in the locker room and lets his play do the talking
first time hearing him talk...sshhhiiiitttt...thats awful. i hope he doesnt do commericals for Gordon, shhhhiittt
