quote:False. You have to get fans to want to be in the stadium, too and enjoy that experience. The LF bleachers are not enjoyable to sit in... although the LF experience with those fans is awesome. Fun crew out there.
The players have first class everything which is what really matters

as far as stadiums go for fans it's probably top 5 or 6

The ads had been on the fence at the old box for decades before the new stadium was built. In my opinion, the box would look weird without ads painted on the fence.
Why does the new stadium have to look like the old one?

I would say that the ads all around the stadium are an indicator of why we make more money than other programs, though. The supply of advertisers wanting to do business with LSU probably dwarfs other programs, meaning higher ad rates. Which means we're going to find more places to put ads.

Does the Advocate have a sponsorship on the tarp? If not, that's criminal. My favorite ad placement in MLB stadiums is the local paper making the tarp look like the daily thrown in the yard.

Same.

I've been avoiding that because this thread was about the ads.

It doesn't but LSU designed the new Box to resemble the old one. Ads on the fence have been around in baseball for a long time. I don't like all of the ones behind the plate and Taco Bell on the dugout.

I will fight you on the Tony Chachere's ad behind home plate.

It gets so much damn attention, I would bet that single sign paid for the cost of 5 suites.

Would you mind expanding on this?
Btw I don’t always agree w you but you are spot on regarding the outfield wall ads. I’ve never liked them.

I understand that and they don't really bother me but if we are talking about improving the look of the stadium I think it could have been done better. I fear LSU is going to let the box fall behind the majority of the SEC before they decide to improve anything.

If you can't contribute to the conversation, don't.
I'm contributing to the conversation. It's a sport that literally doesn't receive any national coverage until the playoffs.
Literally 4 of the SEC schools make any money in the sport. 9 operate at a loss...
LSU makes $56 mil a year in football, $1.6 mil in basketball, and $570K in baseball. LINK
And that's LSU baseball - with the leading attendance in the nation.
Look man, I love baseball too. But we could make a whole lot more money for the university if we focused more on a new arena in basketball than arguing about baseball having little bullshite ads on the back fence.

And to make it worse, they used the same bleachers from the Old Box for a part of it

Tennessee is doing it wrong.

I can see those numbers changing in the future. Vitello is doing more to build the program and get fan support than Serrano did.
But they really can only make their money on the back end of the season. The weather there sucks for the first like 5 weeks of the season. They will get fan support, but it won't be easy.

Curious to know how A&M is making 6 mil in revenue.

Why the F does it matter when you're #1 in the country and lead the nation in attendance every year?
This is precisely the reason why hes bitching about it.
There is nothing about the team or fans to bitch about.
Some people just absolutely HAVE to bitch about something.
