I’ll never begrudge a kid for sticking up for his old man. I’d do the same for mine.
Some of yall are fricking weird.

Big difference in standing up for your dad and looking like a jackass.

What’s weird is growing up privileged and behaving like Livingston Parish trailer trash

He’s a kid. Why do yall care what a kid says?

Because he has no sense of self awareness
He behaved like a tone-deaf douchebag on a night that was about honoring seniors
He should rightfully be clowned
frick him

This is a very loose interpretation of a senior night. He is only on the team because of his father and did nothing to earn that honor. He made it all about himself and took the spotlight off those who truly love LSU and fulfilled their dream by playing in Tiger Stadium.
What and how he contributed, I have no idea. But I can surmise that it wasn’t much if only to take up space from another walk-on who would have given their right nut to suit up for the Tigers.

Calling his dad BK is so weird

Kennel is a son that feels the need to
defend his pops. That’s respectable. I get it but in time he will see this situation for what it is - his father did not work hard. His father did not do the job. In fact his father, led LSU to quite possibly the most disappointing season in LSU history. Brian Kelly did that with abject failure at every level: (1) he was a poor talent evaluator. The offensive line was the primary downfall of this team. Instead of addressing that in the portal, he spent money on marquee (and likely unnecessary) pass catchers. (2) he made poor coaching decisions - Sloan and Davis. (3) he was a terrible on field leader - berating coaches on sideline and taking zero accountability. (4) he was a terrible leader off the field - giving mid week press conference and media appearances that a slimy polished politician would be proud of; and giving despicable post game press conferences berating media and pounding tables like a phony tough guy; (5) he was an embarrassment to himself because he had no identity - fake accent, dancing with recruits, f@cking his realtor, filing for divorce and then reversing course. He is weak, he lacks character, he doesn’t have an identity. (6) that same issue plagued his teams - because the program could not forge an identity. This years team lacked an identity. That could be a more wide spread issue in the portal era with player movement. So a strong leader will be necessary. Brian is not that coach. (7) the result of all of the above was disastrous football, disappointment among the fans, failing support in an era where support is essential.
So Kenzel, when all of the above is true and a coach gets paid up to $54,000,000 to stop doing a job, it is very reasonable to not allow said coach to be on the field to ruin senior night even more for the kids that suffered through his leadership.
Also in the spirit of Thanksgiving week, Kenzel should be grateful for the financial windfall your family is receiving from LSU despite the fact that his father was an epic failure at his job.

He calls his dad “BK” and calls him his “boy”?? Explains a lot
Posted on 11/23/25 at 1:23 pm to MasterAbe1
“free my boy!”
He refers to his father as his “boy”
WTF! That’s beyond dysfunctional!
Dude reminds me of one of the characters on the Trailer Park Boys!

Did he ever see the field since he’s been on the team?

Exactly. He could have said something like “it’s senior night and I wish my dad was on the sidelines”. Even if I hated BK I would have easily empathized with that.
Instead he just sounded like a complete dumbass. And who the hell refers to their father as “my boy”??
