Nothing to it. If its a pattern, its bad. I imagine everyone in their life has accidently walked out of the store without paying for something

I once left Walmart after scanning my items. Go all the way in my car and realized i didnt complete the payment. Went back in the store and the clerks were like. Oh. We didnt notice. #BLM i guess.

I don’t know if it’s just me getting old, but I loathe self checkouts.

It’s like.. wonderful, instead of 4 regular lanes we have 8 self checkout lanes. But people suck at scanning and bagging groceries, so they take 10x as long to check out.

I love Bill Burr's bit about self-checkouts, and businesses pushing more and more of the work onto the customer in general.

Self checkout and didn’t scan an item that he took. Was it an accident? Idk... But it could also have been a VERY honest mistake. He owned it and said he messed up but wasn’t intentional.

Actually does happen. And yet people just want to cut him.

Would be interesting to know what the item even was.

You would cut a kid over shoplifting? Im in law enforcement and ask you why? He is very young still and is allowed to make mistakes. WTH is wrong with you?

Depends on what he was stealing...if it was athletic equipment to make him a better RB then give em a slap on the wrist along as it's under like 70$..if it's a ps4 controller cut his arse. If it's a butane lighter to fire up a crack rock, make em crab walk backwards till he pukes then cut his arse

His punishment should be catching 1000 rotisserie chickens launched from a juggs machine.

Sagan said it best 2 years ago he isn't kicking kids out only to put them back on the streets. Outside of rape, assault, and other huge No No's this should result in sprints for a whole day.

If it becomes an issue moving forward to other events then yea I reavaluate his spot on the team.

bullshite, unless you're like 17 then it's happened to you,it could have happened and you didnt realize it .

It's like nobody reads the whole thread or at least the first two or three pages,it was already posted that it was accidental. I'm gonna trust the kid if hes never been in trouble before.

If it's a misdemeanor then that just means it was an item less then 500 $ some places have a 250$ max on misdemeanors though . Not sure where

Nah. Don’t cut him for shoplifting. Use the opportunity to give him moral instruction, and make him do community service early in the mornings. He could come out of it a better man.

Pay em

I’m in favor, Lester, but that would have no effect on this; he’s already being paid.
