Less than 25% chance

He probably doesn’t make it to campus, but odds are higher than 1% that he does. His parents seem to have a good head on their shoulders. Going to college may be less lucrative in the short term than going pro out of high school, but it’s more competitive than Low A ball and you get an education. If he gets low balled, I think LSU can offer him an enticing NIL package. 17% chance he makes it to campus.

Kinda like Dylan Crews? One could only imagine what would happen if someone of his caliber attended LSU.
I honestly don't think we'll ever see a player of Crews' caliber ever again. Not for 3 years. Not with his career and trophy haul..

It’s well known he’s going pro. He has basically said so publicly and everyone in Jackson knows he gone.
Barring a fluke injury he’s gone.

How does one steal 89 bases in one high school season???

Can we get 10 million together? That’s about the only way.

National award was delayed while his dad had Belhaven at the World Series where they finished as runner up.
Watched his dad lose that one in person.

The truth is, if this kid can collect 10 million in college NIL money, it should be an enticement to come to college. You get your degree, you’re adored by a much greater audience, you spend 2-3 years in a better environment rather than the minor league environment, and it’s likely that his road to the majors isn’t that delayed based on going to college. If you are good and prove to be that good in college, they will fast track you, much like Skenes, Langford and likely Crews by next year.

Two players in the 2025 class have been told we will come close to matching mlb money for NIL. 1 for 2024. Not sure if he’s one as I only know one of the ones.

2025 recruit already committed.

Were you talking about cam as the 2024?

I don’t know who it was in 2024. I just know one of the 2025s.

I appreciate your sentiment but no the money isn’t there. 10mm for one player drawn over 3 years is right at the football total nil roster is right now. This board is getting crazier than the outside environment
No one is giving a college baseball player the nil money that equates to the signing bonus generational wealth
Edit to say I think we’re at 7mm total on football payroll

Idk what is more of a Pipe Dream Konner Griffin making it to campus or winning the powerball....

Think if the 3 I can remember over the years…. Zach Lee, von Rosenberg, Brice turang. I’m sure there’s others but those I remember were big
Three more that are still in the big leagues: Joey Gallo, Trevor Story, and Jake Cave.
Going way back to the 90s, the '96 class had three first rounders and all three made it to the majors (Joe Lawerence, John Patterson, and Gil Meche). There was another player from Louisiana (Todd Noel) that was drafted in the 1st round, but I don't recall if he was an LSU signee.
