I'm not an expert, but I do believe that if LSU wins at aTm then they do indeed host.

Pretty sure it would goto the other 1 seed we're paired w/

Now if they lost it would then go up for bid.

& if it was LSU/Arky the NCAA would have a hell of a decision to make

You do realize that TCU beat A&M 4-2 at College Station with their #3 pitcher, right?

A&M also pitched our #5 and 3 of those 4 runs were unearned.

I like our chances to advance far this year. Stilson, Stripling and Wacha all have sub 2.3 ERAs and Stilson/Stripling are sub 1.6 ERAs.

Our offense has really picked up as of late which is why you have seen us go from a host to a national seed. If we can score 4+ runs, we'll win as long as the defense holds up.

Our closer is pretty damn good too. Nick Fleece has a 1.4 ERA.

I think the winner of the higher seeded regional host. aTm is the 7 national, so their regional winner would host.

^Or so is my thought.

Maine gets in easily and LSU squeaks into regional play. Nice.

If you guys make it to CS, you'll have to stop by our beer tree tailgate for plenty of booze and food.

How's the stadium set up? Is there a berm or a fence you can stand at & watch the game? (like TU n LF). I'm not worried about tix for our 1st game but a possible A&M/LSU matchup will be a tough ticket I'm sure

No the #1 seed from the opposing regional would host the Super. The host site for the Super would almost always go to the higher seed. If LSU and Arkansas would win, the Hogs would likely host.

There's a left field parking lot thats elevated for people to tailgate in, but because we are tearing our current stadium down after the season and building a new one, half of that parking lot is work trailers. It was very crowded back there for Texas, so I'm not sure if you'd be able to get back there with a car. With that said, you could roll a cooler back there and watch from the parking lot.

The rest of the tailgating takes place at Reed Arena and behind the first base line and home plate where there are trees and large grassy areas that line the parking lot. It should be a good time over there. That is where we are.

RPI isn't everything in terms of selection. LSU isn't going to get a 2 seed as one of the last 5 teams in the tournament.

I don't think LSU would be the last team in. It would be merely semantics with LSU getting a #3 and Cal getting a #2.

LSU >>> Cal.

ed: I still think LSU will be a #2, but that doesn't really matter. What matters is where LSU lands and who the other 2 good teams are. I do think LSU winds up at a national seed's regional.

TCU's pitcher was their actually #4 (but was #3 at the time). I didn't count Purke because he wasn't in the rotation at that point.

3 of those 4 runs were solo HRs.

More like:

One good inning vs. UT (and the horns' subsequent choke-jobs) = why you have seen us go from a host to a national seed.

A&M was very close to sweeping Texas. Walks, passed balls and Errors were the downfall in games one and two after we had 7th inning leads.

Hell, we had the most hits on Jungmann than anyone else in conference. Were up 4-1 in game 2 (7th) and booted that one away then shut them out in game 3.

ONLY if the winner of the opposing regional put in a bid to HOST a Super and it was accepted by the NCAA.

Bids go in before selections for sites are made.

whatever regional we are in, if we win it, we are eligible to host if the opposing regional winner didn't put in a bid or isn't a 1 seed
