Umm, the WRs and TE are calling BULL shite on you. They are loving the new aggresive offense.

I actually expect JJ to start up until the point in which he gets hurt. In Miles' entire tenure at LSU, no QB has lost their starting job unless it was due to injury.
Honestly, I wish we'd either have a pro-style offense, or an option/wildcat/spreadoption offense. The biggest problem with our offense is that we have zero identity. On one drive, we try to run the option, wildcat, and up the middle. On the next, we drop back into shotgun with 4-5 wideouts and try to air it out.
Miles needs to pick one offensive philosophy and make our team and expert at that philosophy. I prefer a pro-style. But, we can be successful with a spread option if that's what he wants. I just wish he'd pick one and stick with it.

And in Miles's tenure no QB should have. A more talented QB has never ridden the pine while a clearly inferior one played. That is just a fact.

Then why wouldn't he have that same emotional attachment to Jarrett Lee? He's actually coached him a year longer. Why wouldn't he want Lee to succeed as well?
Pick six!
Pick six!

Rather, the issue is that Miles' objective player evaluation is undermined by his genuine emotional attachment to upperclassmen. That is, he really regards JJ as the better QB because he wants JJ to succeed, irrespective of whether or not the empirical evidence supports that conclusion.
so Miles started JJ over JLee because of seniority?

perhaps more of a change in offensive philosophy. Aggressive play calling made a hugh difference in the second half of the Alabama game and in the Texas A&M game. It appeared like a "new offense".

Flynn was QB in 07 and was not as talented as RP but was a better QB than RP
In 08 Hatch started over a more talented player but started because of experience. Lee then took over and had good moments and bad, Jefferson took over and dealt with same issues.
09 Jefferson was a better QB, while he was not putting up great numbers he was a better option than Lee at the time
10 Jefferson and Lee were even in ways of talent and it would not have mattered who should have started. Although Jefferson performed horribly I am not sure if Lee would have been 2x better, but I would have at least liked to see what he could have done. Especially when he was having the hot hand after Florida game.

Yeah, no matter what your views of the QB position, this was a head scratcher. It certainly appeared that Lee had the hot hand and should have been "the number one QB" following that game.
Again, I think Miles believes JJ's versitility (running, though it was a hinderance in '09) gives him the edge regardless of how the passing game is progressing.

No, new offense means new offense.
Krags says the terminology remains the same to help avoid confusion and speed up implementation.

unfortunately, within 5 seconds after the first running play of the season, there will be 10 threads proclaiming "see, I told you idiots Les Miles is running the offense". I would guess 8 of the thread starters are in this thread...

And another ten saying "I told you that you idiots would be doing this..." Which gets as annoying as the other guys.
Can't we have discussions without going into preemptive strikes?

The rest of your post should be directed at Crowton, not Miles.

He had the hot hand FOR the UF game. . .not after.
McNeese was an abomination on all counts. So I will ignore that one. JJ was fricking pathetic, but it looked like NOBODY showed up to play.
JJ outplayed Lee in all games after McNeese. . .unless you only use passing numbers, then they were pretty even for AU, and JJ dominated after that.
I was calling for Lee to start after the UF game. After Bama, that desire faded. Not because JJ looked better. . .because Lee looked worse.

LSU defeats a 9-3 Florida squad and marches into the NC having to face Stanford.

Oregon or State take your pick, probably should have said 4 games into season as I doubt Les would start Mett on the road vs WVU
