I've been screaming this. Dugas should be at 3B every game this weekend. Give him tons of opportunities to see how he handles it. Hell, move Thompson over to SS for the weekend, I don't care.
It gives a lot of other people opportunities in the OF, and fixes the potential log jam when Gio and Doughty are back.
But are we going to do that? No. Instead we will win 15-0, and accomplish very little in the process.

As long as Mainieri doesn’t complain he didn’t have the time to get other guys reps

We have to assume Mainieri and Bianco had conversations when he was in the portal. I'm going to assume Paul promised him this opportunity. I can't think of any other reason. If nothing else, Bianco should be at 3B right now. Arnold should actually be at 3B and Cranford at SS, just like Adam4848 suggested in his player profile thread. I would rather Cranford hitting .286 getting on base, with the power hitters behind him, than Thompson's .140 or whatever it is.
Dugas should be at 2B right now and Hampton should be in the outfield.
There is no mathematical explanation for Crews leading. Paul is scared of messing with his Mojo or whoever would be replacing him leading off.

Well if this is the case, then it's even more ridiculous. You don't promise a kid who has struck out constantly for two years playing time at a prime position.
