The worst part about a dismal weekend like this is that instead of level-headed and insightful reactions and commiserating over things not going our way, everyone rushes to share the most negative and over-reactionary takes that they can manage.
Braswell, like last year, is one of our most consistent hitters (statistically) in SEC play. One fly out, and he doesn’t deserve a spot on the team. Our pitching staff allows 0 earned runs last weekend on the road against a top 10 team. Now people think that the pitchers are mismanaged and Yeskie is questionable.
There may be real problems being exposed in the team this weekend. Maybe these will be issues that will persist beyond one unfortunate weekend. Maybe some or all of these issues will be addressed, and the team will be better for having overcome them. It is very par for the course, though, that one weekend of shitty outcomes (in otherwise close games) means doom and gloom, and fire and bench everybody.
