I know he can get 12 outs—he’s done it multiple times now. But it’d be REALLY sweet if we could find a bridge so he never had to get more than 9. Not that he runs out of gas, just that change up isn’t quite as un-hittable the 2nd time guys see it. Well, it’s still un-hittable, they’re just able to lay off a bit easier the 2nd time up.
They had some “good” takes that last inning that they’d have screwed themselves into the ground swinging at their 1st time up. I say “good,” because at least of those were with 2 strikes and have been called strike 3 previously. I’m surprised they were able to take them with as inconsistent as the ump has been today. He was really terrible both ways.
Holy shite. Whew. Huge win. HUUUUUUUGE win.
