Fantastic news...

But in no way should it affect whether O is retained or not.

Again, Miles had perennial top 10 classes and people called him every name under the sun on this board

No one has ever accused this board of being smart, insightful or wise.

Easy to see who the O bashes Are on here.
I think O is a good recruiter and DL coach. Those are things he's proven to be.
I think O is a bad HC. That's something he's proven to be.

Hope he runs the table and proves me (and history) wrong.

It'll never be the main reason but TD paints LSU in a far more negative light than any other team could do. How much it affects people is up for debate, but every recruit interested in LSU has looked up this board. Without question.

How negative do you think it's been since 1/9/12? Never stopped Les from putting together top 10 and even top 5 classes.

the excuses for Orgeron are piling up faster than plastics in the pacific ocean.

however only one of those problems can be remedied at the drop of a hat.

I think you're forgetting about the National/SEC media hating him.

I really cannot handle more excuses. My football coach used to tell us excuses were like assholes, everyone has one and they all stink!

Miles also had a ton of defenders.

I supported Miles his entire time at LSU. Well, actually after the way he handled business after the 2005 hurricanes. And he won a lot of games as the head coach. There could have, and probably should have been more victories, but he did a great job in my opinion and was a good ambassador for the school and the state.

I would say this board is much more negative toward O

I disagree with you about this. For what Miles accomplished as the head coach, the amount of hate the man got was insanely stupid. O on the other hand, really hasn't accomplished much of anything to date.

2 decent wins in 21 games is all he's got so far. Everything else is mediocre to average at best. In my opinion.

These are the reasons I'm not in the o camp at this time. Add the fact that the people that do support him have used every excuse in the world to absolve him of anything bad that happens to the program. And the hypocrites that shite all over Miles while he was here, are now bitching about how o should be given a chance and he's isn't being treated well. These things don't sit well with me.

If or when the man starts winning games that aren't against programs that are in shambles, like a majority of his wins so far, people like me will start to warm up to him being the head coach.

Couldn’t agree more

I agree with you that O only has a couple of good wins as LSU HC thus far. But on the other hand, Miles only had a couple of good wins in his last three seasons.

O was hired to recruit and let good coordinators do the in game coaching. So far he has been less than impressive in those respects.

If January rolls around and we find ourselves in another mediocre bowl with another morning kickoff, then the experiment has failed and it's time for O and Alleva to join Miles in the unemployment office. Miles has been there for a while so he can show them the ropes.

You're right.

I forgot that because Brock Huard and Allison Williams did impressions of him that they were racist towards Cajuns.

I'll keep a running list of excuses. I'm sure it'll grow throughout the season.

LSU had commits who won't even be on the team or signed to be on the team and LSU should have 10 wins.

These "amazing" recruiting classes have been coming through year after year after year.....That's why I expect 10 wins!!!

Not CEO’s fault. It doesn’t help that some of our own fan base is calling for his firing before the first game is played.

Don’t you think negativity is being used against LSU in recruiting? This site is nationally recognized. The dumb shite being place here is being used against LSU.

Don’t underestimate what I’m telling you.
how ironic that you post this, but you are being negative on the recruiting board? HAHHA

Every year I say I'm going to stop paying attention and caring until after signing day. There's just no point.

Every year I get sucked back in and get my hopes up.

On Friday I thought we were closing with Emery, Sophser, Lee and Palmer. Now we might lose Brooks and Thomas, while Emery is gone to UGA.

frick recruiting.

What were the two “decent wins”? Auburn last year and who else?

TAM or Louisville in 16? I mean, there’s really nothing else.

Actually, no I don't. With all of the heavy artillery that opposing programs can point to with O as our head coach, do you really think that they're reaching for the sling shot that is "mean things fan say"? Quite frankly, that's asinine.

With all of the people in here gloating or freaking out about losing a recruit who was never committed and was expected to go OOS, I doubt there is anything I can say to make you feel better.

LSU already has Tyrion Davis as a commit. People were always hopeful they would also get one of Emery or Cain to go with Davis.

Emery never attended one big recruiting function at LSU and even went to Michigan during the "boys from the Boot" (or whatever it's now called) event.

There is still a possibility that Noah Cain comes to LSU. He has been on campus A LOT and a few weeks ago Kardell told the radio guys in an interview that Noah would be the next LSU commit.
