Well Im not on board with our team being overly talented last year, so Im not the one to corroborate your stance over Tiger Ree.
By what measure are we talking? Recruiting star rankings?
We had a young team. We had a team that lost 17 guys from the previous season that were in NFL camps. And our 3-4 best players were all hurt at different parts of last year. The usual suspect QB play. Poor WRs.

Did you know Greedy was the 219th player overall and the 16th best player in the LSU class?

This is where you're incorrect. Those people were, literally, saying the rankings didn't matter because the services have players that are miss identified every year.
Maybe i give them too much credit. I don't really read what they say. I haven't read a Tiger Ree post. I have my own thoughts.

Here's the list.

As far as my Ree comment, I just like to give him shite. I still like the guy for some reason or another.

I take that back. I do come across the threads he starts. I wish people could take them for what they are. Generally positive news about the program. Maybe he does have ulterior motives, but id rather everyone just talk about the good if that is what the subject is about. I think he is just as guilty, as he knows how most of them will end up. He likes the attention though

“Tom Brady was a no star”
I don’t even know if services with star ratings existed in the early to mid 90’s, so that may have something to do with it. Alliance sports was around in 98-99 before becoming part of Rivals.

People would take them seriously if he didn't lash out at anyone who disagrees with him, on any topic.
You hit the nail on the head though. He's here for the attention and it was his reaction to the Joe Burrow news that proved it. He reacted like a petulant child that had his ice cream taken away.

We’re really kicking their arse according to that other thread, and a certain poster in this thread.

I have a feeling LSU is making the same mistake over again by filling up their class early with 3 star players and finishing around 15 when it is all said and done.
We are sitting at 17 commitments. If we finish with:
RB: John Emery, Noah Cain
WR: Devonta Lee, Trey Palmer
OL/TE: Ray Parker
DL: Ishmael Sopsher
LB: Donte Starks
DB: Devin Bush
ATH: Christian Harris
this will be a very good class. All the guys listed above are Louisiana guys 4 stars or above.

Take Emery off the list. He likes cowbells.

The main one is Sopsher. He’s the biggest fish left, and they have to figure out a way to real him in. He won’t declare till signing day.

Les Miles’s recruiting classes were head and shoulders above Coach O’s classes so far. Maybe this class will be different but it is starting to look similar to last year’s class. Les could get 4 star players at a faster rate than Coach O can get his 3 star players
This is all so stupid

Oh the horror. LSU's kicker/punter is the 3rd best in the country. Fire the coach !!!

Once again Ree, you spout off a bunch of bullshite without bothering to check your facts.
I knew the facts. Glad you did a small amount of research. The info you discovered is alarming isn't it?

Ree, stop feeding the “haters/pumpers” discord.
Winning cures everything.
Winning cures everything.

It's because people were told "Recruiting ranking doesn't matter,"
I would LOVE to see just ONE post of someone saying recruiting rankings don't matter. You have one??
One idiot makes a comment that was a lie on the ranter board and every ranter is more than happy to join in and be as big a moron as the original idiot.
You have one of the MANY posts claiming recruiting rankings don't matter?? I'm sure there are so many you won't have trouble finding one.
Thanks in advance for the post quote or link to one of the many posts !!!

Recruiting rankings matter. Winning matters more.
Worse than 10-2 this year is failure. 10-2 is good. Better than 10-2 is great. It’s really that simple. So you can all argue about shite all you want on here, but the record will speak for itself.

So LaCouture having to play every defensive snap in a game last year doesn't matter?

One season removed from a DL having to play every snap on defense and you demand a certain record? Good for you.
LSU without two key defensive reserves against Ole Miss in Ed Alexander and Michael Divinity
quote:
Depth is a lingering issue for the Tigers this season. At one point during LSU's loss at Mississippi State, Orgeron had four defensive linemen available for three D-line positions. The depth problems are preventing a deep rotation or any rotation at all
quote:
Earlier this season, defensive end Christian LaCouture played every snap of a game. Starting defensive end Rashard Lawrence missed three of the first five games with an ankle injury, and a broken finger prevented Alexander from playing in two games.
quote:
Frank Herron missed the first six games of the year because of a presumed half-season suspension. He returned last week against Auburn, playing about 15 snaps. Senior Deondre Clark and freshman Neil Farrell rarely rotate.
