Who looks like the #2 starter this year? I doubt we have another Coleman but, someone has to step into that spot.

If Jones goes pro after this football season, gets drafted into ther NFL and plays say 2 years and gets cut. Would he still retain one year of baseball eligibility?

Kinda like a reversed Matt Mauck, Josh Booty, David Shinskie situation?

no because his eligibility clocked has started. when he stepped on campus he had 5 years to play four.

i do know Gaudet has dropped about 20lbs, he's healthy and ready to rake

first base and DH, yes. Im not sure Dean has full range of motion in his arm yet, so he may have to DH to start the season

im so pumped for this year.i see us being better than last year.any team with landry,nola,hanover,dean,gibbs,mahtook will be better than last year.we have great starting pitching and great middle relief and a proven closer.we are better than last year.

id say we can be better.we still have to play out the year and get kids better.i think by seasons end we will be a pretty doggone good team.

Agreed. Need a couple of pitchers to step up. It would be great if Ott could stay in the bullpen. I don't think hitting will be a problem.
