the facilities for the players are the best in the country and that’s what recruits want.
The HC and LSUAD are allowing it to fall further and further behind.
BTW, is there nobody in Baton Rouge that can construct a solid Batter's Eye structure? If the HC doesn't care, nothing get's done. If the show fits.

USC's stadium is smaller than The Box and UK's new stadium is tiny compared to The Box. The New Box was originally gonna be a $50 mil stadium but Skip paired it back to $35 mil.

it helps the folks in LF who can't see the main scoreboard. It's been needed from day 1.

To the OP,
Call TAF, donate more money than Planet Fitness, put whatever you want on that scoreboard.
Easy-Peasy

The idea of the scoreboard there is fine. That’s not the issue. The execution is a huge miss and not worth it in the least since the number one need of that stadium is chairbacks which should also have been there from day one.

totally agree.
but, as someone sitting in LF, I'm just glad i don't need to pull an exorcist move to see stats on the scoreboard

That is horrific.
Secondly, the best part of baseball threads are the many idiots that enter the thread only to bitch about people having any complaints about a program that hasn't won shite in over a decade. Their inability to spell or even type out the word "you" makes it even better.

1. Nothing this tacky
2. Minor League baseball is failing
3. This is not minor league baseball
4. This is flat out embarrassing

You think this is a minor league park?
Look. It’s ugly. And there are better things we could have spent the money on besides another scoreboard. I get boards have ads but this planet fitness one is exorbitant. It’s terrible aesthetics.
Here’s USC:
Arkansas:
A&M:
State:
And there are more examples throughout the conference with clean aesthetics, chairbacks throughout, and when there are adverts on the fences, they’re simple and clean often all white. So don’t talk like it HAS to be done this way and look this bad. We know it doesn’t.

And there’s more to be taken from these pics besides the clean OF fences, the scoreboards, the chairbacks...
These places have the suites and the champions club-like areas. The batter’s eye is solid, too. And the food is better at all of them if we want to go down that road too.

What about the pictures of the improvements that LSU did for the players? What about the weight room, nutrition center, the technical equipment and the medical equipment that they bought to help the players? Should they come before chair backs?
Posted on 2/10/20 at 1:49 pm to ell_13
I think the next thing that will be added will be a Manda Meats Home Run Pork Chop that hydrolocly pertrudes from the outfield fencing to signify that a home run has just been hit by the tigers.

If you sit in the grandstand or a suite, you have a good college viewing experience. But it could be better, it should be improving not regressing, and the box can be much, much better for the other 7k fans who sit down the lines and in the OF.

We have 35 busting it for a third of a scholarship or less. The least we can do is to maximize their abilities by giving them every reasonable advantage. We do a great job here.

The new scoreboard is nice for the LF bleacher crowd, right?
Beer in the stadium is great for the fans, right?
Watching kids maximizing their abilities is also great for the fans.
The improvements made in the areas out front of the stadium benefit the fans too.
Could things be better? Sure, but baseball isn’t a huge cash cow and other sports command our dollars too. I’m happy that the players get what they need and the fans get a little something each season,

Sure there are reasons and the biggest being funding. You want them to do even more for the baseball stadium even though there are political considerations and other athletic department nerds that the hierarchy puts first.
They can’t do it all.
