Maybe that's partially true. But there was a girl from Louisiana that played SS for Oklahoma St.
There is also a girl from Louisiana that's now playing for Bama.
So obviously the talent exist here, at least somewhat. They are heading to other elite schools though.

Last year's team seemed bound for Oklahoma City until Coffey went down.
Still, a team with Briggs, Pleasants, Berzon, and Newland as its core of talent should have gone much farther.

LSU softball has more players from Louisiana than Oklahoma softball has players from Oklahoma.
LSU is a top tier program under any circumstance.

Last year's team was destined for Oklahoma City until Taylor Pleasants and Karli Petty combined to hit .143 in SEC play.
Losing Coffey hurt, losing all offensive production from your middle infield hurts more.

It wasn’t Dobson that ruined Pleasants it was Leftwich with her gimmicks and launch angle bs. Petty was always an average player that’s why you leave a WS team to go to a team you can start. Dobson was the person who recruited the WS teams and then went to Team USA and it went downhill, wish he was still here
