I love everyone putting 100% of the blame on Alleva. Like he alone decides where we go and if he "fights" we'll be magically put in a better bowl game despite there being better, more lucrative options.
Of course he shouldn't shoulder 100% of the blame. That's not what I was implying. However, he should use whatever influence he has on LSU's behalf. It looks like USCe and A&M both have ADs who have in recent days been very vocal about which bowl games their teams would prefer, even going so far as to lobby the SEC home office.

A&M has Johnny Football and USCe has Clowney. Two media wet dreams.

I certainly wouldn't consider Clowney to be that big of a media draw, and JFF is coming off his 2 worst games of the year, both of which A&M lost. It just seems odd to me that the CFA Bowl people would want a rematch when it's the kind of things that bowls usually try so hard to avoid. Add to the mix the potential for LSU's fan turnout to be even worse than last year's miserable showing. It seems that both the bowl and LSU stand to lose money.

Agreed. I was mostly referring to why we were stuck with Chick-Fil-A last year.

No one turns a bowl down, unless they're Louisiana Tech.

If we go to the chicken bowl again against the same team that stadium will be empty.

Not true. I won't be full, but the community buys most of the tickets.

I wouldn't mind this. Need a little redemption.

I'd like to see LSU in the Cotton Bowl I guess. Failing that the Outback Bowl would be at least different. I wouldn't mind seeing LSU exact some revenge against Clemson but I'd rather see them beat Texas in the Cotton Bowl.

ut Atlanta, Dallas, Nashville, Shreveport, Charlotte and Memphis all suck as bowl destinations.
damn dude

I'm hoping for Dallas or Jacksonville but it could be worse.
Worst bowl location ever?
Birmingham, Alabama
Thanks to the SEC HQ for taking care of their home state again.
Don't look now but starting next year they move up in the pecking order. It makes me sick to even think of being the #6 team in the SEC (possibly top 15 in the nation) and being stuck in Gumpville.

I don't want any part of Clemson. With the horrible defense we have, Tahj Boyd would have a field day. I would not be suprised if we run the ball almost exclusively and only pass when necessary, so as not to put AJ under too much pressure.

I have lived in the Bham area 45 years and agree totally.
Legion Field is a collapse waiting to happen and is in
a rundown area.
I wouldn't go to a game at LF with a Navy SEAL team escort.

Thats bad for everyone, but i would love to beat Clemson to be honest

I agree, Clemson would be a tough game for LSU. Besides that, I'm just not interested in a rematch.

the defense has shown growth and (although imperfect) Clemson or Baylor would probably be the best possible opponents LSU could land in their bowl game.
there's not much point to watching LSU beat up a completely over-matched Iowa team in the Outback to me... I'd like to see a game that could be good.
