Honestly, we should play all our home games in Texas. Think of how good recruiting would be. Seriously, just think.

I guess the one silver lining to take from this is...at least we can buy beer at both games!

So we get 2 away games vs. Wisconsin?

Alleva needs to find some balance between making money and keeping the core fanbase on the reservation.

I'm pretty sure NEITHER are better venues for a college football game.....WHY expand your stadium with additional club seats/suites and the SELL every potentially good OOC home game ?
WHAT are the fans not being told ? Don't give me the recruiting angle...we get how many kids out of the Dallas area per year ? A few out of the Houston area, but I'll bet they were "sold" on LSU by ATTENDING games AT TIGER STADIUM !

I said exactly this in a previous post. Tiger Stadium and Camp Randall are both great college football venues and are located in great college towns. It would have been fun to do a home and home.

Wake up fans we're being sold down the river by Alleva ! Next years BIG game is in Houston and we open with ULM !
Not sure what I think about the TCU/Dallas connection, but I do think Wisconsin should be making an appearance at Death Valley. And I definitely think a ULM home opener really sucks. I think any time LSU plays the ULMs of the football world, it sucks. Alleva or the bean counters who expect the fan base to take anything are slowly killing a golden goose, sucky home game by sucky home game.

I even wonder if there could be a subtle connection here to why there seems to be a bit of fan "drift" on gamedays, when fans leave the stadium early?

And what of the lost revenue to BR and the area?? Maybe this'll help some of the Katrina refugees still in Houston?

College football shouldn't be such a blatant cash grab. Can you imagine how awesome it would be to have Wiscy in Death Valley? To tailgate with those beer lovers? It was meant to fricking be.

frick these neutral site games.

There are more LSU fans in Houston than Baton Rouge

At a minimum, it is the same. They estimate that 1/5th of Houston are people that were born in LA, or whose parents were born in LA. There are over 6 million in the greater Houston area (Houston-Woodlands-Sugarland)....So...it is not too far off to say they are probably pretty close to one another in LSU fan base size....

Even if not, combine it with the easy travel from LA, and it makes a lot of sense.

According to Nola.com, LSU wants to push back the trip to Arizona State now. LSU doesn't have a want to play both these teams in the same season.

Undoubtedly Alleva is trying to get ANOTHER neutral site game in an NFL stadium vs. Arizona St.......thus leaving the fans with another dose of Samford,Troy and Jacksonville St. !
IF, there is sooooo much more $ to be made from all these neutral site games, why not sell some of our home SEC games as well, I'm sure the LSU season ticket/suite and club ticket holders will be more than happy to renew as long as LSU gets soooo much more "jack" ! His inbox should be FLOODED with complaints, this is getting ridiculous !!

The bitching is pathetic. Boo hoo that 120,000 people don't get to tailgate in BR for one weekend. Tough shite. Get over it.

Unless you're a season ticket holder or a business owner in the B.R. area....your post rings very hollow. Those that "pay the freight" have a legit reason to air their grievances with this very disturbing money grabbing trend !

Play UAB,Kent St.,Furman,Jacksonville St. or Citadel in the season opener in Houston or Dallas, and I bet there wouldn't be as much uproar. As long as we get TCU,Wisconsin and Arz. St. in Tiger Stadium.
How would that be for all the fans of the neutral site games ??

I really dislike the move to take home games away from Baton Rouge. I get you like making a but load of money, joe, but damn man. Taking games away from Tiger Stadium is just depressing.

That being said, I'm very interested in going to Lambeaux.

Alleva has such a hard on for neutral site games. Whatever. Playing Wisconsin is cool.
