Too much experience in the upper class men transfers who came to LSU to win a NC to let this team come out flat. Add Whit’s and Gooden’s energy and attitude, this should be fun to watch!

Wait, you mean to tell me that LSU fans are excited and believe LSU will perform well on an LSU forum discussing LSU football? Holy shite, save some brain cells for the rest of us, Einstein.

BK’s teams come out flat each year.
No reason why this will be different.
Maybe I'm on an island here but my hot take is that the streak of openers for BK isn't as awful as people make it out to be.
2022, I don't think anyone knew what to expect with THAT much transition and newness. They lost a close game with a complete program turnover. I don't think that loss was egregious and if our all time leading receiver doesn't inexplicably muff two punts, who knows what happens.
2023, I just think FSU was the far superior team. I don't think losing to FSU was poor preparation, I think we had roster deficiencies and a far superior team beat us. LSU was only down a FG at half but FSU pulled away with a big 4th. We didn't have a soul that could cover Wilson and Coleman.
2024 was the one that I think stung the most because realistically, you were better than USC.
I think 2024 was really the only one where we didn't show up and play our best.

BK didn't fire Ed O dumbass.
Clearly this was a reference to Orgeron beating Dabo in the natty, not BK firing O.

LSU just has to weather the early storm of the crowd, opening night, top 5 opponent, etc. Clemson will come out on a massive emotional high and they have some top level, elite front line players but they don't appear to have a ton behind them.
I think if we are going to win next Saturday, offensively, LSU's recipe is to spread Clemson out and get into the flow of the game early with some quick stuff from Nuss. Parker, Woods & Heldt are legit but make them run/frustrate them with quick releases to your playmakers on the outside. Clemson has a really good corner in Terrell but as you go down the list, the match ups improve for LSU as the Tigers receivers are much deeper than the Clemson secondary. I also REALLY like the matchup of LSU's Tight Ends against the Linebackers of Clemson. As you get those pass rushers running and consistently not getting home, you start to wear them down a bit and the backups behind them are not nearly as good as the frontline guys. That may give you the openings you need, particularly in the 2nd half when you may have a bit more time to take advantage of the Clemson secondary. Spreading them out should also help in the run game. Try to dictate as many 2 high safety 5 man boxes as you can.
IF LSU can manufacture that type of game, I really like the scenario of a close game down the stretch with LSU able to roll in fresh bodies defensively as opposed to Clemson, who on paper, should have a more significant drop off once those starters need a blow.

LSU wants to win next Saturday but history says they'll come out flat & confused
Is that what you really meant to say? Brian Kelly will be crucified if they lose to Clemson making it 0 for 4 in openers.

Do they have a game before Clemson?

Not sure if you know how a calendar and language works so ill help you out. This Saturday is the 23rd. Next Saturday is the 30th.
LSU plays at 6:30PM on the 30th or "Next Saturday"
LSU WILL win NEXT Saturday.

I'm going to view the team through purple sunglasses until they give me a reason not to.

I think the biggest difference between us and Clemson is our depth which will wear them down in the second half. To be able to rotate dlineman over and over will get turnovers and sacks which will be too much for Clemson to overcome.

Doubling down on STOOPID I see.

Yeah i have heard the same thing from fans the last 10 years for openers. Have you seen the record in that time frame for openers? Time to stop believing the preseason hype . I will believe it when it actually happens.
