WOW.....interesting how others view LSU situation this year.

The consensus seems to be the p[layers just suck. I hear it all the time. No blame on the new co-DCs, all the blame on the players apparently being that much worse from last year to this year.

Hopefully Les shuts them up with a good Dc for next year. Won't shed one tear if Mallory leaves.

And isn't the title a little misleading? Isn't that a post on a message board? Where's the source? And it's just speculation to begin with...

Wonder if any LSU boosters are interested in supplementing the paycut Mallory and Peveto would take. I'm guessing to get them out of town, boosters would step up to the plate

Jackson and Steltz played under Miles more than Saban, clown. LSU was ranked 3rd in Pass Defense Efficiency last year with Pelini as DC. Zenon never saw the field under Saban, but thrived with Miles/Pelini. When did you start watching LSU football, this year?

Correct. Jackson's freshman year was nick sabans last season. That was when jackson screwed us over in the capital one against iowa

you must have your facts wrong. Saban didn't train his players to get beat like that.

yes, I was being sarcastic as an earlier poster suggested that Saban trained players were infallible. I agree with your post.

You really don't get this? Miles isn't "making the change" because he let Mallory make the move instead. He didn't fire him outright (like so many here wanted) so that Mallory could make the move with the appearance of his choice. This allows everyone to avoid embarassment and maintains professional courtesy between Miles and his staff.

yes, but he's still the same guy who ran the most unorganized defense in the last 10 years of LSU football.
Sorry, Doc, but while I agree with your general point, "the last 10 years" includes the Tepper defenses, and even this year's clusterfrick was not the disaster that abomination was.

Thanks for providing more legitimacy to the story. Anything else you can add on new coaches?

IF this is true:

:nana: :lsu: :nana: :lsu: :nana: :lsu: :nana: :lsu: :nana: :lsu: :nana: :lsu: :nana: :lsu: :nana: :lsu: :nana: :lsu:

Now if only somebody would take Peveto off our hands we'd be doing great, moreover, let's hope they have to start immediately so that we can have an actual defensive scheme for the bowl game we may be ready to go lol

it began in 2007 but when steltz left it really hurt. He really directed a lot of the defense. With him went a lot of Sabans secondary teachings.

To tell you the truth the team did not play as a team, and they did suck IMHO.. And I bleed Purple and Gold. I hate to say, but they did

Now the proper question is, why did they suck?

My list of reasons are, Coaching, new players, QB woes, no leadership, and the hang over from the MNC.
