You only have hope and prayer that this team will have a nasty defense? I think it is a little more than that. But that just me.
As for offense, not like we are replacing some high power offense. The bar is low. Special teams also will improve.

MJ how old are you ? Are you just young or are you mentally disable or are you middle age and hates everything and wants the world to be as miserable as you are? Are do you just hate the LSU coaches that much mainly O who you have never met or know? We got it,WE GET IT !! LSU sucks, O is an idiot, the program is headed and is going to fall off the cliff. BUT there are some people that just want to learn something new about players and starters ECT. The haters have a true dilemma. They do want lsu to do well, I believe that, at least most of them. But it is VERY bittersweet for them because if lsu does well, that means O did well, and they have preached daily forever about worst coach in ole Miss history, terrible coach, etc. It makes them look stupid. Human nature. You can bet though not a one of these losers will step up and say I was wrong. The new negaparty line will be in "spite" of O

Spears knows this team isn’t winning less than 8 or 9 games no matter what.
He also knows that with quality coaching we’d be looking at 10 wins and a NY6 Bowl at least.
He’s setting the bar low so that if the coach he publicly backed can’t get us to that 10 win bar an 8 or 9 win year can still be spun as a success because WE ALL THOUGHT THIS TEAM WOULD BE LUCKY TO WIN SEVEN AGAINST THIS SCHEDULE!!
It’s funny to me that the same people that blasted Miles for not changing OC and offensive philosophy going into a potential NC run in 2016 now say oh well we can’t expect the offense to be great this year because we are putting in a new system and that takes time.
Next year though!!

You just gave Marcus some good advice. Anti- homerism credentials established Marcus. It’s ok to not pile on once and a while. It’s ok to acknowledge strengths. This is still a program that has won eight or more games every season since he was in HS.
