Miller isn’t a Center and spent most of his HS career floating on the perimeter. Not an excuse, his development has been way too slow but losing Reed has forced Miller to play out of position. Nwoko needs to stop fouling, he’s been in foul trouble 9 of 11 games. That’s unacceptable

Yeah this was a good one to miss. Defense was listless. Wings were standing around. And Dedan looked a little lost in the second half. Is he sick? That’s two second halves in a row that he’s a little careless with the ball.

Probably so. We had single digit turnovers and shot over 50% from the field. but the game pace was fairly slow, and we just looked lackluster.

Very sloppy 2nd half. Felt like they were just going thru the motions
during the free throw challenge contest in the first half, one of the guys airballed I think 8 free throws in 30 seconds. Looked to be a college aged guy. Shameful

If you think SELU is a “really” good win then I feel like you don’t want LSU basketball to be successful. Being realistic and honest is the only way LSU can make changes to the program.

let me ask again, please don't insult everyone and drag every basketball thread into a spamming of garbage insults.
people want to read about the game, not your endless spamming of insults. don't do this to every thread.

First half was fine, second half turned into a mess. Bench didn’t do anything, Nwoko in foul trouble again and Thomas had a poor second half.

All the bench wanted to do was throw up 3 pointers to try and score, should have left the starters in until they got up by 30 then he could have subbed. The starters began the game playing fairly well and we're about to blowout SELU,but he subbed zipper and king and other's in they just wanted to score and not play defense and they lost there momentum and it became an awful game that should have been a blowout! Ole piss beat these guys by 30 and I believe Lsu is better than Ole piss but we will find out later this year.

Plus the ACC challenge would have a better team at home. Possibly NC State? Pretty sure that game would sell out.
That's the rub the only good OOC games we get at home are the mandated conference challenge games every other year but....yeah if the Pear comes to town that might be a sellout.

If this program makes the tournament almost yearly and wins a few games in it , you'll see PLENTY of sellouts.
We had this under Dale and Wade. If we start winning consistently, the fan base will respond accordingly.

The 2005 we tied for the SEC West title and were a tournament team and in 2006 we went 14-2 in the SEC won the conference going away and had a very good team full of homegrown players. In those two years LSU had ONE recorded sellout. The season after that final four year we had one sellout against UCONN.
We had fewer than you think under WW but we did have decent crowds for LSU basketball relative to the past 30 years on a more consistent basis.
Dale's era was just a different time before internet and all the other distractions and folks actually went to games live more often. But even 1989-90 when CJ, and Shaq played together there were no hard sellouts, but that was the highest per game average attendance ever for the PMAC.
I just want to get 9,000 in the building.....it absolutely helps if we win, which we have done much of lately and it would also help if we had more good OOC matchups at home.

Yes the second half was brutal. We ended up with a 13 point win over a poor overmatched opponent yet it seems like the sky is falling. Did somebody else get injured last night? That's not the same team that dominated SMU a week ago.
Do we have anything left over for Prairie View Monday night

So you are telling me a 6'9" player, in high school, was playing on the perimeter? So what happened to his outside shot, his dribble/drive ability, passing and everything else a player has to have to play that position? I see him pass up 10 to 15 foot jumpers all the time.

I know you remember this, that when we had Chris and Shaq, we played Georgetown in the Superdome in New Orleans. Attendance was over 68,000 and was the largest crowd for college basketball at the time, maybe still is.
Posted on 12/20/25 at 12:40 pm to Tom Bronco
I think we played ND in the dome after that and broke the record. I may be wrong, it's been 40 years.
