Jones could possibly be 1st round guy.He would have scouts drooling at the combine.He still has a lot to learn on the field but size,speed and athleticism are perfect for the combine setting and potential.Woods woud get drated because of potential.He has a lot of talent and teams will take chances on talent at that position.

The issue with Jones is that style of safety is going out of style. Laron landry and Roy Williams are in the same mold as Chad, big hitters. Coverage skills could be better as Chad needs to get better. He might be better suited for LB, JMO.

I have given the big guy the benefit of the doubt his entire tenure at LSU. If he truly possessed great talent and ability he would have been starting his second year, not as a senior. What I see every time I watch him is a big guy who is strong, but is extremely slow off the snap. He has no quick first step or explosion, and has very limited lateral movement with no nose for the football. Don't see him being drafted at all, maybe a FA. Wish him well but doubt we see him playing on Sundays.
