Is that the game with a female commentator?

What’s the point of any game?
Do you love the game?

Maybe adopt something similar to the Pro Bowl and make these “bowl games” more skill activities.
I haven't watched a pro bowl in probably 10 years. During that time span I've watched over 100 bowl games. I enjoy sitting down and putting on the TV and watching football over whatever else is on TV. The fact that the bowl games still exist suggest others do as well.

Stop paying all those useless executive and give it to the players instead. Make the bowls pay the players, reward the winners w a bonus.

How bout playing the sport ( Bowl games ) for the love of the sport. Even better yet, bring back the college all stars against the super bowl champs for the last preseason game of the NFL. Just like it was played for 42 years from 1934-1976. Man I loved that game ever since I first saw it as a little boy in the mid 60's. They played hard in that game! Unfortunately , high insurance premium for the players led to dissolution of that all star game. Also, competitors love to compete. Big money has kind of ruined pro sports for me and now its kinda doing a bit of the same to the college game for me.
Nevertheless, it sure has been fun to watch college football and I've always enjoyed the bowl games. Geaux Tigers! And of course, GTHOM, GTH!

10 days of bowl practice for next year and younger players.

Why is it meaningless? By your logic, there is no reason to get on the field if there is no chance to compete for a championship.

It’s not meaningless to players playing perhaps their last college game. And, players families attending. Lasting memories.

It’s not meaningless if you’re a player wanting to win.
Yeah no shite.
We have a big family lots of kids and grandkids so everyone has a couple of places to be so yesterday was our Christmas. We are also a football family and enjoyed having all 3 games on throughout the day.
Not only not meaningless but without fail almost all these games are competitive and tight. Those kids are playing hard. For some its their last game.
The biggest reason not meaningless? its all we have left of what college football was. The good part thats missing now in professional college football.
Keep the Bowl games its a big part of the season.

People act like bowl games became meaningless when a playoff was instituted.
They've only ever had whatever meaning the coaches, players and viewers placed on them.

I will go further - all the games are meaningless with opt out rent-a players and rent-a coaches. You don't really build anything or own anything.

Jake Butt the Michigan TE got his whole career fricked over during a meaningless shitty bowl right before the draft

Meaningless bowl games make millions for deserving charities.
Your logic, taken to golf would mean on
the US Open, The Masters, The PGA and The Open should be the only tournaments played, because the rest don’t matter
Also if you are a fringe player hoping to get drafted or even getting a camp tryout, these games mean you get to put something on tape for NFL Scouts.

You ever been to some of these useless bowls? Empty. I remember being in the military, and leadership would come through with tickets to the Who gives a shite Bowl...and we all would be like nah. Tickets free too!
That doesn’t matter for many of them. Over half of the bowls are owned by ESPN now. They are there to fill their Holiday schedule while people have some time off work. And most of them draw very well for their time slots, which is why they are still around. The one bowl we know that is folding, the LA Bowl, was privately owned and was much too expensive for the level of bowl it is because of the location.
For many of the smaller local communities, any fans who come are also a boost to their local economies. If you don’t like them, don’t watch.
I’m sure a few of the privately owned bowl games will either need to sell or will die off, but most will remain as long as the ratings are there.

what’s the point in these bowl games that aren’t playoff games?
- the point is money
- 99% of the players won’t go pro so one last game isn’t meaningless to them
- you are contributing to what you call meaningless by watching it. Less viewers leads to less money leads to less bowls
