Its our weaknesses that are glaring. If they have watched any film on us they will work the middle of the field with crossing routes, and drag routes by te/slot wr, rb on 2nd n 3rd downs and blitz our O-line with stunts and outside pressure forcing our qb to make quick decisions. Hopefully we worked on hot reads this week and communication upfront. Our linebacker play will determine who wins this game..

hahaha scouting by stats and not knowing a thing about a leach offense. Yeah State's running game is terrible

I'd like us to get our hands up on the DL. Is that too much to ask?

The MSU week spot is LSU this Saturday night. We are full speed on both sides of the ball except for MS. They are facing a different LSU team. A QB that can burn you with his feet and arm. JE needs to get the rock early and often along with AG. MSU is facing a talented offense not Fn Memphis and Arizona. So they have to be very concerned. It does not sit well being a dog in your own stadium. Seems like LSU has everything clicking at the right time. Sure MSU is a good football team, but on this night LSU wins. 34-30

We have fans that act like MSU is the next bama. We are 19-3 against them this century. I am not underestimating them I just don't see why our fans are acting scared. It's a typical sec game that you have to show up and play to win.

It's amazing what feasting on a particularly weak cupcake can do for the morale of a fanbase.
The stats but not watching people don't realize that against Memphis, we were up 35-3 in the third when we called off the dogs and Memphis had under 40 yards of offense at that point. Again, doesn't matter if it is Memphis, we had almost more points than they had yards at that point.
I've also seen a handful talk about our porous run defense because they watched one drive against Arizona where they got 41 yards rushing on the first drive. They got 1 more yard on the ground the rest of the game. We played a C effort game against a much improved P5 school 2000 miles away that ended at 2am and doubled the spread.
LSU is talented so there's no guarantees we will win, but I've seen some really weak opinions based on faulty logic on this board all week and I am excited for the melt.
That said, to get on topic, our weakness is DL pressure - though that could be by design since our 3-3-5 front is designed to clog running lanes and eat up blockers and let our great LB corps feast. Also, our defensive scheme is designed to get the ball back to the offense as fast as possible so it is vulnerable to big plays.
Last weakness is actually tackling a mobile QB - this is the one they're best positioned to exploit with Daniels, but since he seems to be a one read and take off QB we won't have to go as hard with pass coverage and we should be able to put Wheat on him as a spy.
35-25 State and it will be close til a late score puts a nail in the coffin.

That is my concern as well

Why come on this board and talk shite? Take that to the SECR puppy.

They return the most production in the country, more than a couple NFL players on the roster, Veteran QB who excels in the scheme and doesn't seem to force many mistakes. Power rating wise, Miss St is a top 15 team in the country right now. Would not surprise me at all if LSU loses saturday.

Show me where I talked shite. This is an honest assessment and I didn't throw any bombs outside of questioning the football knowledge of some people in your school's fanbase. That's a problem for every major sports school, so if you took offense to that then all you accomplished was a confession.
I like LSU a lot. Delicious food. Cool mascot. Nice Campus. The 2019 squad was the most fun I've had cheering for a rival team. None of this is an insult, I just think that we have the better team this year.

You may very well be correct about the better team. LSU is recovering from neglect at the hands of its prior coach. We are truly rebuilding not necessarily reloading as in past years. Lots of young guys playing in critical positions. Hopefully, our guys will come out focused and energized, if so, the Tigers have talent and seem to be well-conditioned and probably, have overall better athletes. We lack experience, cohesiveness due to all the new faces, and it's going to take time to grow as a team. That's all in State's favor. Regardless, I'm still picking the Tigers.

Saying you’re “excited for the melt” and then claiming you’re “not throwing bombs” is a bitch move.

Overall, I really don't see any weak spots on this team. Conversely, I don't see much that wows me, either.
They're just a solid team that is executing everything they've been coached to do.

they have an experienced team, their offense is hard to stop and hard to defend. We dont have the pass rush and they throw quick routes. basically bend but dont break and redzone defense.
their defense is older and have lots of experience especially the the front 7.
ball control will win this game.. this is where you want a brian kelly type coach... its going to be ugly, but if our OL and RBS can keep drives going and chew up clock (With scores) we got a good chance. they are going to get their yards... just gotta prevent them from TDs in the redzone and limit their 3rd down conversions.
Miss ST is a very good football team.

Their defense is obviously their weakness. D line is good at stopping the run but has struggled to get continuous pressure. (3 sacks through 2 games). Lbs will struggle in coverage if we can force them to do that. Imo lack of depth will show if we can keep up with them early in the game.
On offense, their rbs are a drop off of what we’ve seen in the past from msst.

agreed - this is not by any means a Sylvester Croom Miss St team, nor is this a great LSU team at this point. I expect a battle
