Talk about redeeming yourself. Shores got booted from the starting rotation, then just casually shut down everyone out of the bullpen.

I didn’t think Shores would be drafted above Eyanson, but I knew he would be high enough that he was never coming back. Great job, Chase!

I would not say anything was casual with shores.

You can’t teach 100 mph. They can teach and develop 2 and 3 pitches and refine his control.

I think that was the plan all along. Get him as many innings as possible vs inferior opponents to get his reps, see if he can hack it against SEC teams as a starter and if he doesn't his stuff is good enough to get 1-2 innings out of the pen. CJJ wanted Shores in high leverage spots deep in the postseason and thats what he was able to get.
