Yankees will have to start drafting Sr to save money. They picked all Jr and Herring as a Soph so far.

Because if the Yankees don’t sign him they lose access to that 339.6. They don’t want to not be able to spend that money. So they came to terms with Griff before they actually picked him.

He has an agent/advisor. Those guys work on commission. I doubt they thought that $2M was in his future.
