I think all his comments were based solely on if they are physically ready to play.
right, something you cant tell by watching a guy play softball in shorts and a baggy tshirt

He also can't be 6'0 165-170ish and not expect to be abused by a physical WR with him at CB or to be a serious injury waiting to happen if he played WR on offense.
if he's 165 then he'll redshirt. And he could still very well redshirt right now even if he weighs more.
point is i wouldnt tell someone he is definitely going to redshirt because lynxcat saw him play in a softball game.
someone here said they saw Ron Brooks at a bank once and said he was a midget, and would prob never play, or somethign to that nature. Boy was he right

k...just heard that he working with the LBs didnt know if there was any validity to it? thanks
You may have him confused with Josh Johns. Rocky is way too small for LB.

is Rocky D...gonna be a Safety or LB?
Rocky D might need to focus on "ABC" rather than "LB" or "S"....."IMO"

Was in a wife beater and some shorts. Got a good look at the upper body, but I understand what you are saying. I checked lsusports.net and it says Claiborne is at 180 lbs. I'd have to tend toward that number being a little bit inflated. Does anyone know how accurate the numbers listed on the roster really are?

You can see why people would somewhat question Brooks' size at SS because he does look more like a CB, but you can't deny what he can do when he puts the pads on.

Nobody has been measured/weighed in yet for 2009, and none of the freshman have EVER been checked in by LSU officially (for the roster). The heights/weights listed for the (incoming) freshman are just from recruiting services.

That's so ironic because thats who Morris reminds me of is Ron Brooks.

He stays at DB I think he could potentially be the next Corey Webster. One of my favorite recruits from last year.

yea i dont see how he compared a guy thats 6ft 170 to a guy whos 6ft 180.

He is cut but has very little muscle mass at this time.
Remember when Blue Gay and Zenon started playing at LSU? How big and how much muscle did they have? The good thing, LSU could hold some of these kids back, we have depth and thats a good thing. Cooper will do great with these kids, they will be fun to keep an eye on this year.
On the Brooks kid, a college coach and I were talking about him one day. The kids time is here to shine. Look for him this year.

Let's put it this way...you won't ever see Claiborne lining up as a safety in his career at LSU. Brooks has an impressive smaller compact body. Everyone thought he would come to college and play corner but lately it seems like he will get a lot of time at safety.

I know for a fact that all were measured and weighed before work outs with Coach Moffit began..

All the heights and weights for incoming freshman are directly from the rivals database.
