This is one of the most "inaccurate" statements I've ever seen on this board. There's absolutely nothing wrong with his mechanics and, if he had "happy feet", he would have never completed that TD to Mitchell in the Auburn game. You do realized he's the second most efficient passer in the SEC, just behind Tebow.
Ok, I guess I was the only one seeing him constantly throwing off his back feet without any pressure in his face during the MSU game or rolling around the the pocket with NO pressure in his face
He must of thrown a perfect accurate pass every time.
Goddamn, I need to get my eyes checked obviously because we were playing Auburn last night.

I think someone got drunk and was watching Crompton, the Tennessee quarterback.

Agreed, our backs seem to always get a big hit on them like the defense knows this play is coming. Why on earth can we NOT DEFEND their running backs out the backfield???? Last week we got beat with receivers and this week the RB out of the backfield in the flat and on that wheel route where he dropped a huge gain that could have turned the game. Our coordinators need to fix this shite

my only problem with Lee is that he got hurt during the preseason and wasn't able to be the starter from the first snap of the season.
He's a baller. Especially on pass plays over 10 yards. Crowton needs to can all those screen/dump passes crap and let the boy sling it.

the one thing that gives me the red arse about lee is that he stares down the primary reciever like an eagle. even on dump passes to the rb. thats why that play never works. keiland should have been laid out but the defender just whiffed a perfectly good tackling opportunity. this guy has a good accurate arm for the most part but his bad habit is really effecting the passing game. thoughts?
You are complaining that LSU's Freshman QB did not get a pass intercepted & that our RB did not get "laid out", but instead made a good play?

good post apacheba
I still have a question about the one interception Lee threw. Wasn't it more the receivers fault than Lee's? Apparently no one on the call in show including the hosts saw it that way but I swore the pass was catchable and it bounced up and off (Dixon's ? hands)?

I think working on development is going to bite LSU in the arse. It could have cost LSU the game last night. Playing against UF, UGA Bama and hell, even Ole Miss .........at some point you have to put development on the back burner and just pound the football. We got away with it last night, but not for long. I felt the staff was using the second half as a Lee incubator and totally ignored the fact that Moo U was getting back into the game.

he's a freshmen who will improve with experience. his arm is very good with a strong delivery. name a freshmen qb who does not have growing problems.

His being a redshirt freshman must also give you the redass.
Expecting a redshirt QB on his first start to perform like an experienced NFL QB is clueless!

You are either the most pessimistic person in the history of the world, or you're a closet Bama fan. Nothing you say about anything LSU is EVER remotely positive.
Thanks for attempting to play the "Devil's Advocate" role, but we've got plenty already.
Did Lee throw off his back foot when he was NOT under pressure? Yes.
Did Lee throw 90% of his passes in his last 3 halves of football with plenty of accuracy? Yes.

Dickson looked like he pulled his hand down as if he thought the pass was intended for someone else. He looked suprised as hell to see it was a Moo St player.

You're a moron, those are my thoughts.
Redshirt Freshman in his first start leads his offense to 34 points and a very balanced offense. The kid's learning curve is astronomical.

Too many under 30 LSU fans on here who are way too complacent. For three decades as a fan, I learned to settle. Last 5-6 years I have learned to expect the very best product the staff can put on the field. We didn't beat Moo U by 30 pts folks. We won by 10. Again, I have watched way too much LSU football over the decades. A turnover and 2 mintutes could have changed this game.
Anyone who has been excited with the play of this team, this year is too damn complacent. I sure as hell am not happy with it. I don't want a 9-3 season. Unnacceptable.

He's in his 2nd game as a redshirt freshman. He's developing...not developed.
If you expected him to be a polished QB at this point, your expectations were off base.
I was impressed at how much progress he made from last week to this week. I saw him get to his secondary receivers several times.
If he makes as much progress between now and Florida, then we've got a shot at the Swamp (tough for anyone).

We said the same thing about Matt Mauk...over and over.

quote:I have read this complaint about every QB LSU has had since Al Gore invented the internets and subsequently LSU message boards (thanks Al). EVERY young QB is going to lock on a primary receiver at the start of their career eventually they grow into the position and start going through their progressions; if not then they won't be the QB for long. I've seen nothing from Lee to indicate he won't grow and improve as a QB because i've been pretty encouraged by his play so far this year.

Now this is a dumb post.
Because we've got games against UF, UGA, and hell, even Ole Miss is EXACTLY why you've got to do everything you can to develop Lee now.
