, but criticizing Narcisse makes no sense either.
Wasnt trying to criticize Narcisse, and I totally agree with your post. I was just countering the idea that Narcisse wouldnt have developed had he stuck around as redshirt freshman. Goldrush was bashing LSU and saying narcisse left because he wasnt being developed. Thats not why he left. He wants to be THE GUY!

Translate: Bebe knows he must win now not next year or two years from now. So he brought in Burrows which screwed either Miles or Narcisse.

The coaching staff can only develop so many guys
Narcisse was likely staring 3rd string qb in the face for the next 2 years
Its pretty hard to develop in that position

How is Narcisse ever going to pass him if he doesn't get good QB instruction?
I agree with you on that. Meaning he wasnt getting the so called quality reps. And thus I have no problem with Narcisse leaving if he feels that way. But if you were just bashing the quality of the offensive coaching, then I dont agree. Narcisse has no clue what would happen in his 4 years of eligibility. He left because he was 3rd on the totem pole. Understandable, And I hope he is successful wherever he lands.

I get that. And understand he wants to be 1 or 2 in the pecking order.

Narcisse admits he’s not ready.
Then why would he leave? He isn't getting on the field as the starter for at the very least a year, probably two.
It's pretty clear he's leaving to try to play right away.

It's not necessarily bashing. It is what it is. This isn't a good spot to be developed if you're a QB. One could say that's been the case for some time now.
So maybe Narcisse did an inventory of his skills and where he needs to be and determined that he can't make any progress with this level of instruction. That's just not a strength of this current staff. I don't think it's simply because he's behind on the depth chart.

He needs someone that can play TODAY to get him to 8 wins or more.
That's why he has Burrow? Who really thought Ed was counting on Narcisse to start this year?
This thread doesn't make any sense.

This is the only thing that has made sense so far.

Sounds like he wants to be developed and wasn't getting that here.
Actually it sounds like he wanted to develop by starting before he was ready and we are not in a position to do that

Actually, if he said they wanted a QB that was ready to play and they were moving in two different directions, it sounds like he was actively trying not to be ready to play.
Maybe that's because he's not very good at choosing his words though.

Yes but that won't happen.

It sucks but i get where the kid is coming from. O wanted to utilize him in wildcat situations. Meaning he was probably going to start Myles or Joe. Justin McMillan i dont think ever had a chance to start.
Narcisse wants to play QB period. Not be known as a wildcat guy. His words from the Advocate. Think he also wanted to start from the jump which is low key pretty diva of him. LSU doesn't real just start new guys fresh out the gate like that without some type of "LSU football game/situation" experience.
Sucks to see the kid go but i definitely get where he's coming from.

Narcisse has physical problems with his knees, and the offense was/is not structured for him

He isnt going to develop by being 3rd string for an additional 2 more years
He needs to go see the field somewhere

So you want to bank on a kid that has already had two season ending knee surgeries and hasn’t seen meaningful action on a field in 3 years? We upgraded talent levels for this s year. It’s the price that had to be paid is the way I view it.

I hated to see this kid go like anybody else, but I understand that he wants to play ball and not stand on the sideline for another season even if he's called in for certain situations to run the wildcat or whatever. Obviously they are tied to Burrows to win now and Orgeron feels the heat of being a HC at a program like LSU. I wish LN luck and wish he would come back to LSU, but I guess that's that. Narcisse in the spread is a playmaking machine, should be anyways. I figure they'd get him going in these special packages, by giving him the option to run or throw, quick strikes to WR's running short slant routes. But he wants to start and get into the process of becoming a QB altogether and not do that, so best of luck.

Narcisse is healthy now, there is no knee issues. It's been awhile since he's played and he's super young meaning you heal fast, his body should be completely healthy.

It's pretty clear he's leaving to try and find a situation where he'll get more attention and reps. If you want to be better, you need more help than being the 3rd string QB for the next two years.

Agreed that was very strange comment for him to make. Who WOULDN'T want a QB that was ready.
