I think I knew it from the outset. Any time the skirts seek attention, they should be called out. We can't say that Bianka Bell is the 5th best shortstop at LSU since 1990 even though it is true.

Can we get rid of the play calling cards on the football sideline?

When a program spends millions to build stadium, hundreds of thousands to pay coaches, it is no longer about having fun.
Tell that to ones that are actually playing the game. Don't lose sight that these ladies are still in their teenage and early twenties years.
I get it, the NCAA agreeable opinions are somewhat justified and at times I don't like some of the stuff either. Games are meant to be won and lost...in the end, they are GAMES and they should be fun to play. Whether it is masks, rally possums, chants, dances, etc.
Celebrate and have fun playing the sport. I believe Dave Aranda said something similar recently.

They're not props. They're used to call plays. Massive difference.

Are you sure that's what they are used for and not a distraction device? The guy standing next to the picture board and giving hand gestures is not the one signaling plays?

So Sarah Jessica Parker can't ever hangout in LSU's dugout.

NCAA bans

dugout devote 4 years to the team - physically (workouts, practices, games, etc) and emotionally (won't even list those examples) - without having the opportunity to contribute by actually PLAYING on a consistent basis.
And how is that limited to softball? Plenty of football players devote way more than that to see zero snaps.

Oregon or Baylor starting using decoy picture boards as well and there's no doubt the images they use on the picture board is for getting on camera.

God the NCAA is a crock of shite...Baylor is running rampant and Ole Miss is paying everyone, but lets make sure they dont have props in the dugout for a game
This guy gets it.
Kids having fun is the biggest fish NCAA has to fry? smh

because two schools have problems in football, the NCAA should ignore all other issues with all other sports?!?
Yea, that makes a lot of sense.

So this issue #3?
are you really that stupid?? The NCAA has different people in charge of different sports.
You think the football pooh-bahs at the NCAA are also in charge of girls' softball.
Good lord, man!!!

It's not issue #3 in softball either.

Heres my 2 cents,
There are much bigger issues then dugout props with college softball.
First, these props arent used all game, and have zero impact or influences on the game. Baseball and softball teams are very superstitious, and rally props are used on both the collegiate level, rec level, and professional level. As long as the prop isn't interfering with the game or coming across as offensive, there is essentially zero issues.
The image of college softball isn't tarnished because of these props. Actually a lot of people find them entertaining and unique to this sport.
The sport of softball is growing slowly like many other sports in america. People who bitch about the props are just anal people who just want to find something to bitch about.
Softball players take the game very seriously, and if you pay attention to detail to what these players and coaches put themselves through, I think people would respect this game much more. '
I personally don't think removing props from the game will automatically make softball much more attractive for viewers. It is already doing that on its own but its a slow process. The NCAA is essentially trying to take the fun out of the game.
I find it funny out of all the things the NCAA should fix , and especially in collegiate softball, they go after something useless like this. There are more important things they should fix in this sport. If they want softball to be more respected. Have decent officiating would be a great start.

Since the girls can't wear the hats and props, spread the word and let us fans wear the hats and props. I already wear my lucky cowboy hat and Texas Tiger pin (which is 35 yes old). Let's show the NCAA that we can fun in support of our players.
