White on Ridley; Jamal on OJ Howard; and alternate between outnumbering them in the box and giving deep help to the pass defense.

I think White can control Ridley, but even if he can't we'll give up a few big plays but rob them of consistency.

The biggest problem with Bama is stopping the scrambling of that monster Hurt. And you can only go so far with strategy; the athletes need to get the best of him - particularly Duke and Beckwith.

Jackson is a salty player. Let's see what happens. Need to pressure Hurts.

Absolutely not. White will and should be IN Ridley.

That's taking tight coverage to a whole, new level.

Sorry. Couldn't help it. That typo was too shiny.

I'd be most worried about Kevin Tolliver. He was targeted 5 times and gave up 4 catches.

But, Kelly is a MUCH better passer than Hurts. So, there is that.

Honestly don't think its as cut and dry as Player A on Player B. We will have our matchups we avoid, such as Ridley on Toliver, but after that it will be about where they lineup vs our play calls. If they put him out wide, I wouldn't be surprised if we kept DJ on him. Ridley can run past just about any DB in college football, but DJ is just not going to get beat deep.

Agree 100%. Laughable calls by the same Back Judge

Only an LSU fan would say this. There was one bad PI call. The first one was obviously PI; the second one was obviously NOT PI; the third one was a call most referees will make, but it could easily have been not called.

On the third one Donte was definitely and substantially contacting him while the ball was in the air. But the receiver appeared to be pushing off, too. Was the receiver pushing off because Donte was holding him (that is PI), or was Donte holding on because the receiver was trying to separate by pushing (not PI)? I lean toward the "not PI" answer, but I sure do understand the call.

An even better question is: Why didn't the Ole Miss coaches go back to that?

I would be worried about Ardarius Stewart... he is very underrated.

Watch #95 at nose tackle. He's gonna be a great one.

Put White on Ridley, Toliver on Stewart and Adams on OJ Howard. Yes there are ways to chip players or screens but that is how I would match them up. Who are the other wr's for Bama that play a lot?

We definitely need to play tighter coverage. Bama likes to throw quick screens to WRs early and often.

I will take the penalty if it prevents yards and momentum. That is how Alabama plays the game as well.

Actually, if Key can get around (or stunt inside on) CamRob a few times and get to Hurts, that would set the tempo differently. It's not like Hurts has had any significant pressure to deal with for a full 60 minutes (so far).

Let Key chase him around with those enormously long arms. Have Duke and/or Beckwith lock down whichever side Key rushes in from.

If Key can penetrate and force Hurts to lob over his arms while on the run, I feel pretty good about keeping him under control.

im more worried about duke riley covering o.j. howard. ridley is not as big a factor in this game as last yr because hurts isn't patient enough or accurate enough to stretch the field using the long ball. donte will cover the ish out of him the way they are using ridley and I think beckwith will spy hurts all night but can riley cover howard if so then that makes everything else easier.

Is our most talented DB only slightly more talented than White, IMO. I feel good about that match up with Ridley.
