i swear to god, if you guys hire either one gene chizik or manny fricking diaz, im going to laugh.
Did you not see what i make shift team from baylor did to his defense?? and i saw enough of manny diaz. That guy has absolutely no clue on how to coach a defense.

But Coach O was head coach over the DC at Ole Miss. I also believe this has been in works for a while.

Lsu isn't a program to try out new coordinators. He was one of the worst head coaches ever to grace our conference and his defenses at Ole Miss were an embarrassment.
He's perfect as a DL coach and recruiter.
My primary concern is that O will feel slighted for not being offered the position.
I'm not exactly the biggest Raymond fan from a developmental standpoint, but he might be an excellent x's and o's guy. I wouldn't mind Raymond in the booth and O handle the field. after that just go out and get a top notch lb coach/recruiter

Oh....well shite. Best to hurt the program so we don't hurt O's feelings. Look I love what O is doing with our guys on the field and re recruiting but he's not irreplaceable and is not going to be here for life regardless.

It's not like I smpathize to that extent, but I don't think people should automatically assume he'd be a colossal failure at DC. He's worked under a lot of greats.
Obviously if we can get Venebales, Pelini, Pendergast, etc they're your first calls
