I could see that. I'd be happy with King or Parrish over Brennan.

If LSU brings in a transfer QB, if the guy’s immediately eligible, I’d have to think there would be a domino effect and Brennan would be playing somewhere else within a matter of weeks.

Why did so many have such high hopes for Brennan to start with? The competition he played against in high school was weak and he wasn’t that highly recruited. I think he’s a class act and great asset to the team but I also think a lot of people have willed him to be a great QB.

I feel like I post this in every QB transfer thread but here it goes again:
In order to take a grad transfer that means that we can only sign 24 HS recruits in our recruiting class. Anyone who is paying attention knows that we will almost certainly sign 25 guys. So there will be no room for a grad transfer.
This means that our QB will most likely be Brennan. He’s obviously not Burrow but he shouldn’t have to be. Next year we should have established RBs and more WRs than we know what to do with. Brennan won’t throw for 4,000 yards but I think we will be able to run the ball and he’ll throw well enough to keep us in contention. At least I hope

This. People talk about MB’s arm being his best asset, well this is the offense that will flourish. You give him our starting OL and WR, and we will be lighting up the scoreboard again next year. We’re not bringing in any QB’s except the two HS kids we sign with the incoming class.

This is seriously the stupidest argument against Brennan ever. He needs more reps and rapport with the receivers and he will be fine.
For example, Burrow has thrown the EXACT SAME interception 3 times now. It’s not a big deal, mistakes happen. Burrow is a badass and I’m sure Brennan will be just fine with more practice and meaningful reps.

People are having a hard time accepting this.
Excuses: First it was the weight, Then he needed a year behind Burrow, now theres no way for us to see his potential because he's running with the 2nd team. Theres always a calculated excuse on this board for Brennan.

Any idea if LSU will keep looking to the transfer market?
Obviously there will be some names tossed into the hat; LSU 1) has suddenly developed the most QB-friendly system in college, and 2) loses Burrow.
If you took an anonymous survey of every 2nd string QB in the country, I think over 80% would say they'd transfer to LSU if they would get a solid look as next year's starter. I figure that's about the same as what the high school recruits would say, too.
