Stop with the "Fumbling Fournette" crap. I swear we have some of the most miserable fans. Why not just enjoy this kid??

I think it's a good thing for now. This team needs to focus on getting better. If they do that and can somehow run the table and make it into the playoff, I think Fournette will naturally get run for it. But forcing it for that sake will do the team no good.

Agreed, and just as his fate turned for the worse last year in November it could do the exact opposite this year, just sayin....

LF should just focus on going pro. The Heisman is overrated. Its a dual threat quarterback award. The QB at Louisville or Deshuan Watson will more than likely win it. McCaffery only has a shot if Deshuan or Lamar seasons' do a 180.
Well said. Lamar Jackson is way, way out front and I don't see him slowing down. LF is looking in from the outside but I'm sure he would prefer a NC over the Heisman.

No one was talking about Henry this time last year
Heismans are won in November

LF's chance at the Heisman was ALWAYS predicated on LSU's success as a team. Had he not missed the JSU game, he's probably leading the SEC in rushing. That aside, he's on pace for about 1,300 - 1,400 yards. If somehow LSU were to make it to the SECCG, then 1,500 yards may not be out of the question. That would be MORE than enough to give him the trophy assuming LSU is also the SEC Champ going into the playoffs.
Voters are lazy. They generally give it to the perceived best player on the best team. The one exception is QB where you can make a ton of highlight plays every week.
Right now, the Louisville QB is the leader. However, 2-3 losses vs. weak ACC competition (not unlikey since the 'ville has never seriously contended for anything) and he's done.
If LSU can keep winning all the way through Dec., LF will be in NYC

No there isn't. There are maybe 10-15 players in a better situation to rack up big numbers. Doesn't look like he will win the Heisman but LF7 is the best RB, best player, and best talent in the country.

Last 5 games this season will punch his ticket to NYC..

WTF? I don't care for the heisman anymore, but your thought process makes no sense, unless you are talking about the whole team, but I like the improvement they are making.

Name them? I hate when people say crap like this and not back it up.
Fournette is averaging 143 rush yards per game (4th in country), and averaging 175 yards from scrimmage (4th in country).
Lamar Jackson is clearly ahead of everybody, but after that you only have Barrett, Fournette and McCaffrey in the discussion.
Watson has done nothing this year and that team reminds me of FSU after they won the national championship.

A 1300 yard 18 TD fournette is better for us.

no way...the kid from Louisville is the front runner...plus you have the RB from Stanford and the QB from Clemson...not to mention the QB from Ohio State. Leonard is on outside looking in...
Outside of Jackson, there is no guy way ahead of Fournette.

Louisville's QB will win it

Actually with 11 regular season games, he is on pace for 1573 rush yards and 357 receiving yards. If we make it to the SECCG, his total goes to 1712 rush yards 390 receiving yards.
However, I expect Fournette to explode as this team improves weekly and he'll get his 2000.

This is an injury that won't go away without sufficient rest. He may play every game but we won't see him full steam. I feel like we are getting gyped out of our expectations in his final year as a Tiger.
