It's been pretty clear who the starter is going to be since camp started...

Harris has been running with the 1s most of the time. He had a really good summer in the weightroom and added almost 20lbs of good weight. He was the 1 working with the WRs and RBs during 7 on 7 while Jennings was suspended. By all accounts, he has grown up a lot and is more mature with a better work ethic and knows the playbook. And that has changed the coaches attitude towards him as well. They are very positive about Harris and they expect more from him now. Cameron ha said he's grown tremendously and the lights went on for him in the spring.

And didn't Cameron say just a few days ago that this week could be the week that really solidifies the QB spot if the 1 in the lead continues to stack up good practice after good practice and has a good scrimmage? Or something along those lines... And it's been clear that Harris is the 1 in the lead and is being prepared to be the starter.

Les hasn't officially announced who the starter is, but the writing is on the wall.

so, without a competition, exactly who do you "shove" into the position.

and, since no one earned the job wouldn't the person that wasn't shoved be a little pissed off?

Just because they haven't named a starter to the media doesn't mean there hasn't been a starter named to the team

Yeah I get that... What I'm saying is.. If you know you have the job. Do you preform better than not knowing? Is there resentment? Is it mentally distracting to them?

So what if the named starter doesn't perform as expected and the second string guy has started to slack off?

Les wants one guy to be his quarterback. The WRs want one guy to be their quarterback. The quarterback wants to be the only quarterback. I promise you that two weeks before the opener, everyone who wears an LSU uniform knows who the starting QB is going to be.

This. They have a starter, they know who it is, and they're preparing accordingly. The media and the fans are the only ones who don't know at this point, and we don't need to know shite.

Who gives a damn what the rant thinks, we aren't playing,

I'm sure they already know the starter.

And if Harris can't beat out Jennings by now , you have to wonder if it's time to move on.
