Nuss was not given every opportunity to succeed. He was given one of the worse o lines lsu has ever fielded……a disgrace….
His problem is he needs an elite O-line to be successful, and at this point, I dont think that would even make a difference. He has allowed his natural ability to be wasted due to be mentally scared/unprepared.
He never plants his feet properly, has often times left a solid pocket for no reason, consistently scrambles with no natural instinct to move away from the pressure, misses seeing open receivers because he is too concerned with the pressure, and has missed receivers under no pressure as he looking in another direction which points to a lack of preparation in knowing where his opportunities are going to be.
Throw this in with no ability whatsoever to run and he needed a perfect fricking storm of an o-line to be the QB many thought he could be. I was one of those many and its mindboggling how bad he has been.

You’re digging through my post history desperately

Supporting our 23 year old starting quarterback gets you downvoted into oblivion. You should know better.
It’s the delusional expectations that are the issue here. If he comes into the season ranked the 12th best qb in the SEC, he isn’t hated as much at this point of the season. He played better than MVB did last night but the expectations are blinding our fan base. There are slow mo play breakdowns of his mistakes blasted everywhere online, but not a single word said of MVBs terrible throws, awful reads, breaking his own ankles scrambling out of the pocket, intentionally sliding inches short of a first down when he could have easily gotten it, bad clock management—imo all players should be held accountable and up to the same LSU standard regardless of expectations or NIL money.

When you accept a $3million job, you leave the “kid” label at the door.
It’s his criticism to where like a scarlet letter, podnuh.

Acting like Nuss is a kid gets you downvotes here
Because we’re adults

You said LSU fans prefer violent criminals to Nuss
Yeah we’re the bad people
Yeah we’re the bad people

He is an adult under a multi million dollar contract. Fortunately for him, that contract does not carry performance metrics. So, he got millions of dollars and did have to deliver anything for it, and not only botched the performance aspect but isn’t even a team leader…. and folks feel bad for him?
He would be fired at a $100K / year job for that, much less a multi million dollar per year job.

You are, and to be clear it’s not just Nuss. Perkins is now a bad person too because he doesn’t have enough sacks even though that isn’t his role anymore.
