Surprised to see so many people in their feelins about this. I guess they wanted ? at QB next year. Nuss coming back buys LSU some time to find the next guy. And maybe, just maybe, Nuss shows some improvement after his first year of being the full time starter. If he improves then boom, great starting QB. If he doesn't then well, you just have a regular solid SEC caliber starting QB.
Following Burrow and Daniels was going to be tough for any QB but Nuss has been loyal to LSU and he's coming back. I think having two of the greatest QBs in college football history back to back might've spoiled some folks. I can remember a time not that long ago when I would've given your pinky toe for a QB like Nuss.

I mean, there’s no way Nuss might actually IMPROVE from year 1 as a starter to year 2, right?

With 3656 more passing yards and 40 more passing TDs from the bowl game through next season, Nuss will be our all-time leader in both. Not saying that makes him the best QB in LSU history, but it's going to be pretty hard for the people who don't like him to make a cogent argument as to how he is not a good QB in general
