You have completely misconstrued the conversation. The family did not call to complain. They called to take the cuffs off Garrett and let him play. They talked to LSU as late as Thursday to confirm Garrett not playing unless he was going in for permanently.

Here’s my take. Nuss and his family figure with Walker Howard coming in next year, ifNuss wants a legitimate chance to be the starter, then he has to be the starter at the end of the season.
If he’s not, then I expect him to go to the portal. Otherwise he’d be 3rd on the depth chart going into next season.
