Raiders coach Tom Cable lashed out at assistant offensive line coach James Cregg on Monday for leaving with two games left in the season and joining former coach Lane Kiffin's staff at Tennessee.
"Quite frankly, I'm disappointed by all these things, mostly by the fact that someone would quit on this organization, this football team and this head coach at this juncture," Cable said Monday. "It's wrong."
The linemen were particularly upset with Cregg's decision.
"You don't do that." "You never quit. You never quit, I don't care what it is. You don't quit."

exactly, I don't get those people either. Even if you thought LSU could have made a better hire, why would you spend all your time knocking him? Why not just give him a chance? He isn't going anywhere any time soon no matter how much you bitch about it. So why not just let it play out? Despite their denials, it comes off like they are pulling for coach O to fail. They are so enthusiastic about it. Do they realize for O to fail, LSU must fail.

He's not a first-time head coach and he didn't just arrive on campus, so isn't his "chance" well underway? How long should he be free from any questioning or criticism?

Rickdaddy, also for the record I do not put you in the category of those that seem to hate everything LSU. you stand up for miles record, while agreeing it was time for him to go, and I respect that (also agree with it).
just because I think you are way too zealous of your attacks on O's record at ole miss and seem to "know" he will be a failure doesn't mean you are "one of them". "them" being defined, imo, as emotional, immature, knee jerk juveniles that are as repetitive as the movie groundhog day and follow each other like mindless sheep.
of course, even I respect you as a poster my opinion on here is not popular.
and just so you know, my son just graduated from MTSU so my attacks on the boro are just jabs.
