Why are you considering him a draft risk?

His summer league performance and the fact that they'll look harder at tall kids like that than they will normal-sized kids.

Bollman is the bigger draft risk than Gervase. So far it looks like we'll have both in here, which is nice.

So you're making shite up and scaring people here into thinking you know what you're talking about.

Jonathan Cannon from Georgia is still on the board. IIRC he was projected as potential 1st rounder before the season started. I think he got hurt at some point last year but came back

I'd be shocked if Bollman and Gervase didn't make it here, no matter how tall they are.

That's pretty uncalled for.

But feel free to list your own credentials for knowing what you're talking about. A resume isn't necessary; a basic CV will do nicely.

Am I the only one who thought Leto would never make it to campus when he verbally committed to us? I’m pretty pumped that he probably makes it to campus now.

At the time he committed, he was a top 5 player in his class. It wasn't far fetched to think he'd just be a name on a list.

Question please off topic. LSU has that new meal program for athletics by the old Box. Are the baseball players allowed to eat there under the 11.7 NCAA program?
Thanks,

Gervase has roughly 3o innings of proof that he can consistently throw strikes and is playing in a league made up primarily of non-draft eligible guys (which is to say EXTREMELY lightly scouted).

Color me skeptical that the guy that aggregates my speculation in the recruiting thread and passes it off as his news in the same thread knows where he sits in the draft hierarchy.

He didn't improve at the rate projected, other guys improved at a faster rate or were simply discovered later but were as talented or more talented.

People will be tempted to say he regressed since he was sophomore because he dropped in rankings, but that's not really the case. At the time of those rankings it's more of "if he continues at this pace" kind of thing.

Oh, is THAT what I've done?

I'm going to spare the rest of the posters here the flame war which is about to begin by simply saying get over yourself.

Leto will be a good player for us. Pretty good pop with his bat, versatile defender we could potentially plug into a few different spots, (good enough arm to make tough throws from 3rd or OF) and a good athlete especially for his size. He's 6'2" and I bet 200 lbs these days.

Leto's one of those guys that matured extremely early for his age and others have caught up to him. He's an advanced bat that will excel in college, needs to figure out a position because it won't be the middle infield.

They did an article the other day on him and he thought of himself as a round 1S type guy so I doubt outside a few teams that he'll get a number anywhere close to what he wants.
