1. SEC rule prohibits alcohol sales in conference team stadia/arenas. Some years ago, LSU jumped through a lot of local hoops to have beer at baseball games only to get egg on their faces due to the SEC rule.
2. The NCAA does prohibit alcohol sales at "NCAA events," but that's a little misleading. An "NCAA event" is only one put on by the NCAA itslef.
E.g., go to NCAA tournament basketball game at the Dome: no alcohol. Go to Tulane regular season game at the Dome or Arena: booze it up (not an NCAA event and CUSA has no such rule). Go to Sugar Bowl game at Dome: booze it up (bowl games are NOT put on by the NCAA). Go to D-I AA playoff football game: no alcohol (every division except for D-I has an actual NCAA championship decided on the field in a tournament put on by the NCAA).

-Change the logo back to the old one.
-Get us a new defensive coordinator.
-Give us more night games.
-We need a HD Jumbo-tron.

BS. LSU did a pretty good job of getting white jerseys. Use your influence and have the lame-arse SEC administration do something for their money.
the difference is huge, changing jerseys really affected nobody.....changing times of games will, also the difference on that was an SEC rule, this is a CBS network deal, and they have paid tons of money to these rights, we aren't gonna be playing 7:00 games unless we start playing like Ole Miss has in the past, sadly, I think some of our fans would rather that.

but the way things are i'm sure LSU will play a day game next year when florida comes through...

Alleva said when he first took the job that he wants to clean up the exterior. Don't know how soon this will happen.

MARKET MARKET MARKET. Get rid of Toonces and any other logo and stick with ONE theme. That's how UT, FSU, and others have done it. We should use the tiger head on the helmet as a logo and the GEAUX font only for apparrel. No more toonces, or backwards hat tigers on a ballcap.
THANK YOU!!!!
the old tiger head looks so much better!!!

Anyone who believe that it was all Skip's doing or that if another guy had been chosen it wouldn't have happened the same way, doesn't understand. Skip is a face for the board. It's easier to have him up there asking for ticket increases, than some guy we don't know.

Absolutely great ideas, especially the logo business. Also, work on getting people through all the traffic lights on Nicholson after the game faster. It just seems to crawl even when I wait and wait to leave. I don't even leave the stadium until the team has gone into the locker room.

Do whatever you can do to get some night games. We played georgia and bama at 2:30 at home, while we played florida and auburn at night away. Something has to give here.
NO, NOTHING has to give. The networks and SEC tell us when to play. Period. Get over it.

Some of you are in for a really rude awakening next year when ESPN gets hold of all of our games except the one CBS game. ALL games are going to be broadcast somewhere on the ESPN family of networks. If ESPN calls and says they want to air LSU-Tulane on ESPN Classic at noon, then it is a done deal. I can't wait for that realization to sink in to you dipshits.

except CBS will still have 1st choice

I worded it poorly first time. CBS has first choice each week. Then ESPN gets everything else. I doubt CBS will want LSU-Tulane, so ESPN would get it and put it wherever they want. That game could be at noon, 7, 10am, 10pm, or anywhere in between. Who knows. That is my point. Even the non-conference games are not guaranteed to be night games anymore. The only exception is that each school gets to keep one home game for pay-per-view. ESPN gets everything else that CBS doesn't take.

Don't forget that ESPN can choose to not broadcast a game on TV, but instead online on ESPN360. For the games that they choose to go this route (read: most of the crappy OOC matchups), it's safe to still expect night games the majority of the time.

Isn't this completely up to the networks? The AD really wouldn't have much, if any, say in this i thought...
