You're wrong about lots of things, so no surprise here.

Good on you for this. Most of the MVB fans have doubled down.

It's almost like there were some people trying to tell everyone how historically bad this Oline has been but everyone just loves hating on the starting QB. A guy who played through injury at that.

He has no ability to read a defense and make a throw. His throws were predetermined and mostly 10 yds or less. He's really really really a bad qb..and thats being nice.
He's the worst I've seen under center ever...as far as qb goes.
Even the worst of the worst from the past could at least make a throw, or read a safety.
MVB cannot scare anyone as a passer

Come on, dude. You must be real young. We've had worse just in the last 10 years or so. Anthony Jennings went a whole season and averaged under 50% and that was back when we had a great running game. Brandon Harris was barely over 50% and he also had a great running game behind him. Harris then went to NC and had 1 TD to 8 Ints. on his last year there until he was pulled.
Our team this year is painfully atrocious all-around on offense. After a pretty good first start with all things considered, he was crappy last night, but he is still a true sophomore who was only in his 2nd start in this all-time bad offense. He's nothing special, but probably serviceable in a non-atrocious offense with the worst OL ever.

There is a lot of room for improvement, but there’s talent to work with.
His anticipation is really poor. This has an effect on his other problem, accuracy. If his anticipation were better, his accuracy would improve.
He also needs to work on his pre-snap reads. Daniels got so much better in his second season as a starter that it was almost miraculous.
He can be the guy, but it’s going to take lots of work and the right guidance.

Everyone was wrong about Nuss too. Heisman candidate? LOL no way

He's not a SEC-level QB.....his accuracy just isn't there....

The worst part was seeing WRs running wide open and he would skip the ball a yard in front of them!
Agreed....we can't compete next year with him....he's probably a nice kid, but he's not a SEC-level QB...

Yeah, his skills look more of what you'd expect to see from a backup at this point. Though he did start for State as a true freshman and their team was really bad last year, he did manage to throw for 6 TDs against UGA and aTm combined and he had 300+ yards against UGA. So I guess with not a completely pathetic offense and play calling, he might actually look better. Last night wasn't it though.
We need a few QBs out of the portal to have any kind of confidence for next year

No, hes a worse passer than all those ypu named. We run 10+ 5 yd out routes, and thats the only reason he wasn't below 20%
Athletic as hell....worse accuracy on "real" pass plays of anyone

Maybe player evaluation in the future will be better now that BK is gone. Oh, and coordinators.

There were two first-and-goals vs Alabama, and neither resulted in a TD

get thrown in the games as a freshman against Georgia, running a pro style offense with 5 wide personnel is hardly him somehow getting put in some perfect scenario for success. I always thought nuss was better, and it would have been obvious for all with better o line play, but that doesn't mean van Buren somehow got lucky and tricked us into taking him with some fake tape that he put out?

Why did you think he was a running qb?!?
Because he’d have to run for his life behind this porous offensive line.

no Nuss and no Hurley.

Whoever the next HC is has his work cut out for him with the QB position. You have to get at least 2 from the portal and hope Hurley and/or MVB returns
Posted on 11/24/25 at 7:51 am to homemadeshine
Regardless of his skill at this point, he deserved a shot with how bad Nuss was playing
