Just dropped $100 for the closest garage. Know I’m getting gouged but it beats having trouble finding a place and giving myself a migraine for the game.

You should be good. A lot of people coming from out of town & staying downtown. Try to avoid parking on the Tulane Ave side of in the neighborhood.
The area I highlighted below has street parking & gravel parking lots underneath the ponchatrain expressway. It’s surrounded by a bunch of warehouses. It’s free. Never had issues regarding safety or anything like that. But of course park at your own discretion.
