Whatever it would cost to fire o and the staff, and yes we will negotiate a lower buyout, is nothing compared to what the progrM would lose if he is allowed to put out a shite product for two more seasons.

Hell, it only took one booster to foot Les’ buyout. There will be a handful jumping at the chance to sign off on O’s fate.

Is that the guy who went 6-7 as Ohio State's interim HC the year before they went 12-0?

He'd by my first pick as well. Followed by Matt Cambell. My only issue would be ,is supposedly he wants an NFL gig. At least that is the rumor up in Cincy.

LSU will make sure the next head coach is black though, so I advise everyone to start looking at black candidates only. Just being realistic here.

No you're just being stupid. Woodward will get the best available. Fickell isn't a bad option and would do everything to make him say no. However, with Cincinnati's possible move to the Big 12, would that be attractive enough to make him stay being that he would them be at a Power 5 program and not have to go through the gauntlet of the SEC?

Hasn't Fickell turned down a lot of jobs because he wants to stay in Ohio ?

Is it just me or does he resemble Adam Sandler. Sandler could be no worse than Eddie.

If and when LSU wants O gone, he will be gone. Simple as that.

In 2011, Fickell was originally named to serve as interim head coach in place of Jim Tressel, who was given a five-game suspension by the NCAA due to a recruiting scandal. However, in May of that year, Tressell resigned and Fickell was given a one-year contract to serve as interim coach, only for the 2011 season. [9]

After Ohio State posted a 6–6 regular season record, Fickell was passed up as the permanent head coach, and instead Ohio State hired Urban Meyer. Fickell guided the Buckeyes one last time in the 2012 Gator Bowl against Meyer's old team, the Florida Gators.[10] After Meyer took the helm, Fickell returned to his old job as co-defensive coordinator (helping guide the Buckeyes to the 2014 CFP National Championship), a job in which he served until he was named head coach at Cincinnati.

I like Fleck at Minnesota more.

The donors who lay out the cash have to be getting tired of paying off every bad coach Orgeron has hired. And now they have to pay off the idiotic extension Woodward gave to Orgeron and his new staff.

I guarantee donors had a day in that extension

This is ABSOLUTELY a fact, but COVID was unpredictable and has hurt our reserves. With that even with the 21 after this season, it won’t be that much as others pointed out. He will go away for less in the spirit of “love for LSU and Louisiana”. Otherwise, his reputation will be proven true - used car salesman with zero class. The “for cause” accusations will also reduce the buyout. I say it lands around 15 MM which will be less than the end of 23. Orgeron will be given the Paul treatment to resign with dignity.

All of y’all said the same shite about Paul.

And how much more when attendance, concessions, and merchandising sales drop.

You can LSU will threaten Coach O to agree to reduce his buyout if it comes down to that with the title IX accusations against him if not find away to fire him.

Put me down in the no way O is coaching lsu next year.

It’s over.
it will depend totally on the win-loss record he finishes with. My guess is he’s going to have to lose 5+ games, which looks entirely possible/probable in my opinion.
