Maybe, but at this point I think he’s just not a very good football player. He might have great ability but just zero smarts and instinct.
Someone will draft him in the NFL and quickly regret it, even if it’s a 4th rounder or lower.

I thought you wanted your LBs to be aggressive.

Terrible take. Perk could have played better that’s correct. Watch the tape you would see he in the middle but not at spy. He was playing a middle zone. Look closely at the late rushing td by Reed he was looking at the rb in a zone not as a spy. Perk has been a spy several times, hell watch the Clemson game and was an absolute terror. Baker was not calling a spy majority of the game. He was sending rushers in hope of them getting home.

He has lived off the hype of a couple good games his freshman season.

If it’s one gap you definitely can be but they are having to read the triangle there’s only so much you can expect. Just watch LSU LBs, their first couple steps are read steps, that’s why it seems like there’s a delay with them. I don’t think Perk is mentally ready to be a off ball especially in Bakers defense, if Perk was at Auburn or even Bama he would be successful in there

Perkins going to the draft and getting that 3rd round money in April.
That's pretty high for a special teams player

The last 3 games he has been sleep walking and not covering anybody! Definitely not tackling anybody

He's going to play the joker

You talk as if Perkins the worse LBs, they are all slow in their reads.

Harold is only good when his assignment is to get upfield and make a play in the backfield.
That’s not true. When he hustles (he hasn’t been the last few games) he is a very good LB.

Because I said he’s not mentally ready to be an off ball, there’s a reason why his play drops when he goes into an ILB role. People try to make it seem like he’s not strong enough which is false, his weight is not the issue because we’ve seen plenty of SEC LBs that weigh around 220-235. Perk is still a better pass rusher. The LBs are literally reading their assignments that’s why they get killed by the pullers and all the extra eye candy because they trying to read through all of that. Let me ask you this, if you had a test and I told you, your answer is B all the time compared to telling you, you have to find the right answer from A,B,C,D. Which one would be easier and faster to answer?

Perkins has not played well recently... and It's not just a scheme issue.
there were several times in the vandy game, he had a clear path to Pavia, and ran directly at him, and Pavia escaped outside, instead of taking the outside route away...

Perkins is the most touted LB to find himself out of position on nearly every snap

Please do....say what you want...in the same sentence, you projected a round, yet also said they didn't know where he fits.
You can't project a round, without a position...I dont care who's dumb enough to say it.

I think alot of our one and dones are playing not to get hurt. Hopefully the former players at rhe facility today gave them a lesson of effort readily appearing on tape their potential future employers are going to dissect.

I literally said he would play Joker and all the scouts say 3rd to 4th round. Can you not read or just ignorant?

I’ve seen this guy over multiple years. He does not have it, I don’t care what play you cherry pick.
Posted on 11/1/25 at 8:28 pm to LSUDonMCO
He sandbags a lot actually. Not just the A&M game. Every game you can find a play where he jogging towards a tackle he could have made.
