After the Arky game I felt the same way. I was so pissed driving home knowing LSU blew their chance at a NC

But LSU lucked out

Alternate timeline: Pitt wins, Miles to Michigan. What do the next 12 years look like for LSU?

Not gonna lie. That Pat White & Slaton team was legit and a championship would have been fitting. It’s crazy how in 2020 a team with that type of schedule has no shot at the cfp. The bcs system wasn’t that bad.

The Big East was actually ok that year. WVU and Rutgers were pretty good and South Florida got off to a good start but then fell off. UC was good too. It obviously wasn't the SEC or big 10 but it was pretty good.

I can’t believe it was going to be a West Virginia vs Missouri National championship. What a joke that would have been.

I think it was Ohio State vs somebody.

the most perplexing game ever. The Pitt Coach post game with the crutches and sprained ankle. All memories that somehow left me so happy, in such an unexpected way.

Les should be sending Wannested a Christmas gift every year for the rest of his life.

Add a birthday present to that as well. It was Wandstat getting fired from the Dolphins that opened the door for Saban to jump to the NFL. Which opened the door for Les to walk into the job at LSU.

Refs had money on this game. They tried to cheat like no other game I’ve ever seen

I was in Fairmont WV. Small town right outside Morgantown at a bar. I watched that game like I was watching LSU and had to really be careful bc man there was some Alabama lookalike hillbillys pissed off. I celebrated when they lost and everyone in there was like frick this guy.... lol I’ll never forget it. I was thanks for your epic collapse. We will take it home from here.

Pat White left the game in the second quarter with a dislocated thumb on his non-throwing hand and never returned. I guess he couldn’t grip the ball. I was very surprised he didn’t try to come back in the game.

Actually Pat White was placed back in the game in the 4th quarter.

With just under 2 minutes to go, he had them at the Pitt 21, 1st and 10. I thought for sure the dream was about to be dashed.

I'll never forget this night! I was eating at a restaurant in Atlanta after the SECCG and they had the Pitt game on the Bar TV. Up until last year, that was the best year of LSU football for me.

Was on the way home from Atlanta with our buddies giving us text updates on the WVU and Mizzou games. Was weird screaming and celebrating on the interstate somewhere in BFE Alabama. Good memories.

Side note: remind ppl of this game whenever they are lamenting the 2011 Okie State loss. The football gods giveth and the football gods taketh away lol.
