I look for Edward to have a break out year. I like Dozar as a utility guy.
Edward was suppose to do this last year but was up and down with his hitting.

His injury wasn't bad enough to blame it on that. he played in 43 games, starting 37 of them. PM wouldn't play a hurt player or force him to play if he was hurt.
Yocum is another option for the infield and 3B

Nevamind. Yocum wont be playing third

I think we can expect Yocom at first or second.

look for aaron nola to start weekends as well
Also a possibility at closer along with Berry from what I've heard.

Have you seen this kid swing at a breaking ball?
Having both Edward and Ross in a lineup scares the shite out of me. God please help them turn it around this year.
On the bright side, I absolutely LOVE our starting rotation and bullpen with Berry and little Nola (although unproven).
But with that said, what will lose games for this team I am afraid is hitting and clutch hitting at that. We need the veterans like Hanover and Austin Nola that were there for 2009 to step up in a huge way.

I think Rumbelow is the leader in the clubhouse for closer.

No way lil Nola takes out McCune over Eades. McCune was almost identical to Gausman last year. If anyone leaves the rotation it'll be Eades.
I wouldnt be so sure of that.

I just don't see what looked to be our second best, and sometimes best, pitcher out of his weekend spot.

I'm hoping Rhymes, Jones, and Katz can all continue to hit for BOTH power (or gap power with Rhymes) and keep their BA above .325. If this happens, I can stay positive about the prospect of us hitting the ball this year.

He struggled down the stretch some and Eades was the most impressive pitcher in the Cape. His stuff is definitely better than McCune's. It's not farfetched for him to slide right into the #2 spot in the rotation.

i have no clue on the lineup, but i think the weekend rotation is set in stone for the moment. Gausman, Eades, and McCune. IMO i think rumbulo as closer, berry or nola as a nice setup. Not sure about other relievers but don't we get Joey Bourgious back from tommy john surgery? I know he became inconsistent two years ago but he was hot during the beginning of the season.

Barrios isn't on the roster anymore. Anyone know what happened with that situation?
Went back to his old JC.

Rhymes is DH/LF with Fields at LF and you got it.
Dozar, Edward, Powell, Didier, and Slaid are going to be the first one's off the bench.
Team doesn't have as much top heavy talent as say 09' but there is still quite a bit of depth.
Pitching this year is going to be unreal. *fingers crossed*

I think Yocom will play more 2nd base

yea not saying Aaron Nola will be a regular weekend starter, just saying i've heard form some players that the kid is the real deal
if he's not starting for us that means we've got a hell of a bullpin

I wanted to insert a JL comment here, but held back cause its baseball season (or so I'm forcing myself to believe).

I watched him pitch many times at Catholic last year, he is a fricking stud. Expect him to possibly be a set-up man and hopefully a weekday starter.
