My question is: Why do so many people want to run something that doesn't work in practice in a game when it counts?
People act like when things go wrong we need to change just for the sake of changing.

If they can't execute plays in practice it is the coaches fault. Not joking. Keep running it until its right!

you may have to explain this one. if a player can't perform it's the coaches fault?
it a QB can't successfully throw a certain route you got two choices; find a QB that can or don't call that play.

Looks like it's getting close to that time of year where I start spending more time on this board

what exactly do you think Cams philosophy should be then since you seem not to agree with that statement?

Thanks for answering my question.
I wondered why the board's IQ dropped about 50 points this time of year.

You are being generous. That must be his impact taken alone, add in his sidekick BeeFense and I'm sure it hits triple digit drops

Your daddy called and said they don't run plays at Alabama that don't work in practice either. I would hope that for the money that's invested in the program we aren't drawing plays up in the dirt with a stick... This isn't improvising or being creative, it's being lazy. Worse than being lazy, it would be a true instance where Les would just be out-talenting opponents. You know what he is usually criticized of doing by everyone who hates everything he does.
Regarding the variety of the offense, if it really is restricted to the plays we execute "flawlessly" in practice, then holy shite the plays that we don't execute flawlessly in practice would look really bad. There are times where our execution is just bad.
As far as Dash Right 93 Berlin working and being used in the game, when you are down by more than 3 (or outside of field goal range) but not more than 8 with one play left in the game are you saying that you don't try the Hail Mary there? Even if it has 0.00000000000000001% chance of succeeding, even if you've fumbled the ball every time you run it in practice, even if it somehow puts you violating a new rule implemented only when LSU is playing Alabama that awards the other team 50 additional points - you try to score on that frickin play. I'm not sure how anyone can think this is a relevant comparison to the other (on average LINK 73 plays per game.
Does the offense need to improve - yes
Do we need to pass more - yes
Do we need to use the middle of the field more - yes
Do we need more of an intermediate game - yes
Do we need to be more "creative" on offense - Define creative for me
Is the offense (and specifically QB) been a bit of the Achilles heel for the team - Generally, but not always
Is expecting the team to demonstrate that they can actually run a play effectively in practice before using it in a game a factor in any of that - no

I said "crappy" bowl game and "predictable" offense. Get your facts straight and then bitch.

I've been saying this for a while now. Coaches in the booth will change, but our OC has been the same since January 2005.

Nice, so you are giving credit to Miles having four of the top offenses ever in the history of the LSU program.
Posted on 4/4/16 at 2:43 pm to BeeFense5
It's only Miles' offense when they suck. Am I doing this right?
